Very odd message....

I began a survey and was asked to enter a captcha which somehow I managed to enter incorrectly (how can you read some of those wiggly-woggly wonky writing ones, I don't know!!) and the message came up -

"Incorrect captcha entry. You may not be a person"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, don't any of you wags tell me what I am if I am not a person!! ;) but has anyone ever had a message like this before and what on earth does it mean.....????? Is it something to do with roboform completion of surveys?

If you are not a person whould you be able to read 'you are not a person' so it does seem rather poitless!

I don't know how they do it, but it is to stop people automatically doing these surveys/clicks??? Are you sure you are a person tho ;)

Yes it is to do with automated entries i was told this before doing one a few days ago, they need to know you really are a person filling in the information.

Are you able to program some sort of robo-thingy-automatic-form-filling-in-whatchamacallit to complete all your info for you then just sit back and rake in the survey earnings???? That doesn't seem somehow fair does it???

I can assure you, though, last time I looked, I was a person.....but isn't it strange the new messages you get coming up from time to time.

I wonder, also, has anyone heard of Silver Dialogue????? I just did a survey and they were the survey setters....is it for oldies do you think?? Curiouser and curiouser....:(

In the immortal words of Patrick Mcgoohan, I am not a number i'm a real person.Lizzie google "Silver Dialogue" and all will be revealed.

PS. The greater mystery is why does some of our text randomly turn into green links which lead to nowhere?

Terry, (and John) it's when you dont put a space after the full stop in your text that it turns it into a hyperlink :)

Oh, Jilly, wonderful!! Nice to know there is a reason! Great stuff...at least I know now to put in spaces......and as for trying again, not only did I try again, but I completed and was paid for the survey in full, so I have no complaints really, it was all fine....but is it just me or has anyone noticed lately that survey companies are putting these captchas at the END of the surveys, on the last page, to VALIDATE your entries? In case you are a robot filling out the whole thing, then you would be caught and transistorized at the very end!! :)
