Opinion People thoughts

I think it was you, John, who mentioned that you didn't think much of Opinion People....am I right? I think it was taking ages to get anywhere point-wise with them.

Well, I thought you might like to know that it was through my most recent survey with them that I was able to join up with thethinkingshed for 15 Opinion-People points - and I get 15 more points for each month I remain a member with thethinkingshed....and I was chosen as their winner for £25 Amazon vouchers this month too, which was really nice. I have 130 points now, one more month 145 then in February I should reach redemption and if anyone else has ever got there, I would be really interested to know what the procedure is....however, if no-one has, then I intend to keep close tabs on it....

I just wanted to let you know, however, that although their surveys do not pop up very often, interesting opportunities can be hidden in there amongst them, so don't be quite so ready to discount these lesser survey sites!

They are also running a really interesting advent competition right now and I am posting answers on the hot topics section so maybe we might get a winner from YSP forumites? Fingers crossed xx :)

I quite like this sight although it is often quiet i like to keep it running in the background, as you say you never know what other things you could get invited to by staying a member. I am only on 48 points since joining 4 months ago, but i may pay it more attention now, thanks for the info.

You get paid in Euros so depending on how you want to be paid you might have to pay a conversion fee. It takes about 4 weeks to receive your money. I received £14.59 in GBP into my paypal account which was converted from 17.50 Euros. If the Euro has gone down it will be less.

Thank you for the info Lissa.....the same deal as Consumer Opinion then, they convert from Euros directly into your bank account....they recently did a poll amongst their panelists to discover if anyone had bank fees to pay, and when I said I was charged a bank fee for an international conversion (a percentage of the amount I should have got was taken off my payment directly before I received it, by the bank) they asked me to send proof by way of a bank statement with the relevant transaction highlighted and the sensitive info blacked out, so I did this and was awarded 5 Euros for telling them about this to make up for what the bank took off!

They were so helpful. Do you know them? They are a really good panel to join....a German site....but you do need to give them your IBAN and BIC number so they can pay you straight into your bank account.

If you have no problem with that, they are really good to join, reliable, and you get regular really valuable surveys up to 10 Euros a time...and 10 Euros is the minimum redemption figure...I have had about 5 payments from them over the last few years and would highly recommend them.

It is good that Opinion People pay you into your paypal account....does paypal charge you a conversion fee do you know?

No worries, John....the invitation to join thethinkingshed actually came in a survey...so I think if you were not invited to the survey, you would not have had an invitation to thethinkingshed...isn't that an incredible name, though??? :)
