Well, go on, do tell....what was your favourite pressie you got for Christmas?

I got a great selection of CDs to add to my collection including Leo Sayer, Wishbone Ash, Donovan, Mary Hopkin.....you can tell what a golden oldie I am can't you?

I also got a beautifully bound leather book of all H G Wells short stories which is wonderful and a real collector's edition.

What did you get then? Who from, and which was your favourite? And are you taking anything back to any shops to return it because you didn't like it?

Jacket, Trousers, aftershave, scarf, shirts and the usual underwear. Oh and a big kiss of an old flame I have not seen for 18 years with a date to go with it. (Tomorrow night)

Well my night out was great fun. We talked about what the years have done for us, which took nearly all night, and, she even asked me to go out again. I was even back in the house by 10.15pm as she had to go to work early this morning, but she has promised me the next date she will make sure she is off the next day. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great to hear George! I didn't get much as my husband and I bought a washing machine for the house, we normally buy something for the house for Xmas, but had a great time with the family.

What a lovely time you had, George.....it is so nice to relive old memories....I am really pleased for you, you deserve some happiness after all the tough times.

Fi, you sound all washed up!! but it is really all about families, Christmas, isn't it.....and after all, I bet they all obliged by giving you LOADS AND LOADS to wash during the holidays to try out your new machine!!

Looks like we will have to be forking out for a new curtain rail very soon as on boxing day there was a huge crack and half of it fell down!! Makes it very difficult to shut the curtains with two dirty great nails sticking out of the woodwork holding the darned thing up and a huge shoelace tying up the ends! I have to go in and choose one tomorrow but am expecting to fork out a fair bit as our curtains take up one whole wall of our livingroom and include a glass door too...they are about 6 feet in length and width!! Help!! :(
