I would love to be able to participate in this sort of research, however Terence i find that as i have a dongle and i pay as you go, i find it really eats up my allowance, so im sorry, i cannot help you. £15.00 per month. I am hoping my son is true to his word and gets a permanent connection to the house back again!

How much is alot, do you need to have a telephone line as my husband does not want one.
I find when i do a lot of surveys with adverts to watch ect:, my allowance drops big time, so i have to earn so much a month just to be able to pay for it.
Although being on maximiles in the past i think they are mostly 5 points per viewing?

You don't have to, you can go with virgin media fibre optic i would check out there website then you don't need a landline that way, but the previous owner was in debt with them so i wasn't able to go with them otherwise i would have done, i just paid my line rental upfront £120 with bt and joined o2 broadband where you get 6 months free then it's 12.25 (which is £75 for the rest of the year) i'm thinking of switching to orange broadband after the 12 month contract because it will be even cheaper that way, but with them offering 6 months free it was a good deal.

i wouldn't hesitate in switching from a dongle, i put it off for many years i was paying £15 and was cut down from 4-12pm but i had problems with my sim and had to get a new one and the new fair usage policy is even worse you only get 1gb for whole months after that you are only able to browse, thats what made me go ahead with a proper connection.

If you are thinking of sticking with a dongle, you would be better with t mobile as you get a whole month for 15, but after you use 1gb you are still able to use it for the whole month in browsing (not able to stream). but i wouldnt recommend this, as you can get unlimited home broadband for roughly the same price, i worked out orange at 12.75 line rental and £5 orange broadband for orange customer, monthly price - 17.75

I left my job in the prison service a few years ago and we nearly lost our house and all sorts,so we have now got debts with a debt management company and are back on track but sadly the debts will stay with us for 6 years so its hard for any sort of credit the moment, unless one of the boys does it as they have written to the experian and explained that the debts are nothing to with them.

Maximiles offer 5-20 points for watching their ads....you click on VIDEOS then click on one and watch it. Click the stars for your rating on what you think of it - i.e. 1 star out of 5 if you don't like it....then confirm to collect your points....then refresh the page, and go back into the video...you can watch each one three times and get paid points each time. You can watch all the videos and it adds up to heaps and heaps of extra points...I only earn points from Maximiles on videos and surveys and have just cashed out for a £10 Sainsbury's voucher to help with my food shopping this month! :) happy bunny me!!
I know John Fitch is nearly at enough for a £30 Amazon voucher, aren't you John? Have you made it yet? :)

you can always cheat. apply for a maximiles credit card, buy something you need with the card (I bought some food about £20) paid the card off completly, recieved 5000points and then cut up the card so I wouldn't be tempted to use it again.

you get points for ALL the videos whether they say the amount of points or not. Make sure to log out and log back in to make sure you are being credited.
Click on the VIDEO tab. It will show 4 and you click on one. If you have already had your points for that one, it will say so but it also shows the ones you haven't watched yet, along the right hand side of the page.
I usually click on one, look to the right and if there is nothing there, then I have already watched them and been credited.
They generally add a few new ones about once a week.

Nice to know we can all help each other with extra information on these topics though, isn't it?

Good idea about the credit card, crusty...but I wouldn't trust myself not to use it....and make sure if you cut it up that you are not still being charged anything....you have to actually go in and close your account at some point, I believe...not too sure on this one though.

Great to see you are all earning extra Maximiles points but do you know about Mutualpoints? They are ALMOST as good as Maximiles and they send regular daily surveys out that you can earn 75 points each for from Populus and Newvistalive....these really build up your balance and when you reach 3000 points you can redeem for a £20 cheque or Paypal and it comes really quickly. I can recommend anyone who is interested or wants to join, if you like. They do not have clickable videos like Maximiles but they have 3 points high street web searches which build up and you can do two of these daily.

Crusty, you are halfway to redemption, boyo!!! Well done....now what to do is go in and update your information and in this, they ask you how often you would like to receive emails....and like Maximiles, you will get emails daily with little offers to join places for a few extra points, and click-through emails worth 5 points, and just watch your points steadily build up....also, if you are interested in daily surveys they send them out to all members, as far as I know....so keep an eye on your inbox as they are often time sensitive and you get invited on a Friday for them to be completed before Sunday lunchtime. Good luck! :)
