have finally unsubscribed. in 6 months I have never been able to complete a survey but can always complete the charity ones which earn nothing. I consider this site a complete con a rip off

About me: I am a housewife currently, and my husband and 2 adult sons work full time, so i look after the house and finances.
Why I like surveys: I enjoy giving my opinion and earning a little extra to help out with the shopping now and again and it keeps me occupied.

It has taken me nearly a year now to get 800 points, and i don't know if it is just me being thick, but does it not say that 500 points is worth a voucher? But then when you try to redeem one it says you need 1000 points to redeem 500 ? i find this a little confusing, they should make it clear that redemption is 1000 points, and that's it!

Crusty, some months ago Opinion World was discussed on this forum and for the reasons you have mentioned. I had already gave Opinion World a bad write up due to the same reasons, with the added extra of them never answering emails. Opinion World were unsubscribed and put in my deleted bin, never to return.

I've been a member of Opinionworld since June 2011 and I actually quite like them as I have just claimed my 9th £10 voucher from them. The Amazon vouchers arrive instantly too.

I keep it ticking over in the background, as like you, I mainly qualify for the charity ones with only the occasional points paying ones.

I have had plenty of redemptions from these.. been a member for a few years, recently started using opinionoutpost over opinionworld as there redemption is lower and can cash out quicker!

With Opinionworld I simply disqualify myself from charity surveys/sweeps whatever and only complete point surveys, had a couple of hundred quid off them over the last 2 or 3 years. Now switch to Opionion outpost as many of the charity/sweep type surveys of opinionworld actually get you points on opinionoutpost. They also as mentioned payout lower, £2.50 (50 points). Racking up the dosh with them now and don't bother with opinionworld at all

I only do the ones that pay points for OW itself, and they have been few and far between over the past 12 months. You can do their surveys for money on various sites - you get a dollar a go on Survey Downline, 75p on Survey Network, and 60 cents on Quick Rewards (a lot less, but you can cash out for any amount, no matter how small, and they pay immediately).

I joined this in Feb 2011 and within 3 weeks ( about 17 days I think ? ) I'd earned the £12 to be able to redeem my money via Paypal which was paid almost instantly. Then followed similar experiences to the ones listed above , and I've never been back.
So think how many Prize Draw entries I've missed out on ? lol

I did get paid instantly too when I was a member and I now have 450 points again, halfway to redemption...I like them, but I know I am in the minority!! :)

I'm not so sure about these. I've been with them for quite a few years but don't seem to get very far with them. I keep them on the back burner, for when I'm a bit bored! :)
