About me: I am 62, retired and have never married. I live in a little cottage in the Yorkshire Dales with my presant cat Sarah.
Why I like surveys: Apart from my relatives considering me to be an opinionated old whatsit, they give something to do and the cash helps with the cat treats.

Thanks for the link. I did once belong to this site but couldn't remember if was still so I entered my e-mail address and requested a password. I did log on but was told my account had been deactivated so was told to request reactivation. I await the outcome.

Not a fan of yougov myself. It takes about 18 months to get up to the £50 threshold. The surveys themselves aren't bad but it's more something you keep in the background rather than expecting to receive regular payments.

About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous?
Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things!

Oh sure, in the background, but it is getting better and more fun, don't you think? :)

Yes, I agree, and there are chances of focus groups etc., coming up I feel...I did a couple of really good surveys yesterday from them and found them very rewarding...I have nearly £6 with them so I know it will take a long time to get to redemption but I got my £50 cheque promptly when I did redeem towards the end of last year in time for Christmas :) :)

I think YouGov is the survey company that you have to wait for your £ 50.00 or 5,000 points the longest - They really should either lower the threshold or increase the points per survey ... To wait longer than a year (and in most cases 2 years...!) is insane. I guess once you start accruing points it is pure determination or pig-headedness thast makes you continue - I have about 3,625 points and I am determined to reach the 5,000 threshold - whatever it takes...!!!!! However, afterwards, I may just not continue.....

Brigitte, I had many discussions with them on lowering the threshold and was always quoted admin stuff.....however, recently there have been customer satisfaction surveys on the subject so maybe they are thinking about it...fingers crossed, eh! Yes, determination and pig-headedness both help if you want to reach a high cash-out threshold in survey-taking...I should know as I have liberal quantities of both! :)
