Spidermetrix Panel

Lots of you have joined Spidermetrix Panel (on my list also) and there have been some complaints about the fact that nothing much seems to happen here....however, I got all this info together and composed an email to them yesterday saying how quiet it was and that no referrals had been credited to my account and the points were building up ever so slowly and that I had also submitted an application to join the SpiderVoice panel (which allows you to earn extra points and which you have to say why you want to join) and had no reply from them, and this is the reply I got....(I hope it is of relevance to those of you who think things are quiet...they are!!) -

Hello,

Thank you for your email. The referral points will go up only when your friends will complete a survey.

The Spider panel is going to be updated soon so we will keep you in mind. J

Thank you very much for your efforts!!

Cheers

The Spider Team

Thank goodness for that! I gave up logging in at one point, fed up of waiting for the 'on the hour' to come round, then doing something else and missing it, all for 1 point!

About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous?
Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things!

If you have a little look on the site regarding the SpiderVoice Panel, then you just send them an email and ask to be considered....but do it now, if you are interested, and then you will get the chance to earn extra points, and go up to the next spider level.....I have, believe it or not, 96 points, after all this time, and I need 100 points to progress from a Daddy Long Legs (can't figure that one out, really, as that is not a spider type!!) to the next one up, which I think might be a Black Widow...but I can't find what kind it is! Never mind, eh?!

I have built up these points over a long period of time just on the one point on the hour ones, and the extras you get for filling in your profile...which by the way, became live again for me and I got 8 points for completing just the other day....this can be done, I think, once every 12 months, but other than that, I only ever get prize draw surveys from them, and no points ones. A bit like Hotspex, really, not worth too much, but once in a blue moon you get some goodies!! Once any referral points are added, it will build up, but as there is not much for GB, mostly for Australia, then we might have to wait awhile!! :(

The mysterious Botec pops up to provide irrelevant information!
'Daddy long legs' can refer to several animals. In the UK, it's generally the cranefly. It is sometimes used for harvestmen, which while not spiders are at least still arachnids. But in Australia and NZ, the daddy long legs is the cellar spider Pholcus phalangioides. You've probably seen them - they're the gangly ones that shake their webs violently when disturbed.

Oooooh, yeuch, Botec, mysterious or not, you have painted a very vivid creepy-crawly picture!! I have a fear of daddy long legs, as I think they are too gangly...I have never seen even a picture of an Australian one, though!! I will be happy to move onto the next spider level as I take umbrage at being called a daddy long legs when I don't like them!

However, mystery person, thank you for the information and for coming out of your little web to provide us with it! Don't be a stranger now, ya hear? :)
