Is no news good news?

Not being able to sleep all night it is surprising what I read and I noticed that under the title News the last letter was posted April 2011.Will there be any new news or is this title to remain defunked?

It is odd, that, I don't know the reason for that.....I believe with the new changes in personnel, the news has slid a little.....you could be right, crusty, no news may well be good news! :)

Why I like surveys: Apart from my relatives considering me to be an opinionated old whatsit, they give something to do and the cash helps with the cat treats.

I know about things slidding as you recently mentioned Mutalpoints & i said I found out that I belonged to this but didn't get adverts or surveys from them. After your advice I contacted them and the adds and surveys arrived this weekend. As to the slidding bit there is a note about when my membership with them started --- 2003 !!!!! opps.lol

Oh, Crusty, we all have a few oooooops, I think!! :) We keep joining things enthusiastically, then other things, and it is a bit like an onion with loads of layers....you have to peel it or you are only ever on one layer! (relevant as I am crying, having just peeled one for my pot of home made soup!!) I have a few oldies too.....but most of mine I either joined in 2005 or 2008 so sometimes I have kept notes of my joining dates.

I will have to say again, it is really worthwhile investing in a loose leaf A4 folder and a pad of A4 paper and a pack of A-Z dividers, then you can simply keep track. Have one title page on each letter of the alphabet for all your survey companies....say your M page would look like this -

1. www.myvoice.co.uk
2. http://uk.mysurvey.com
3. www.mindmover.com
4. www.myonlinepanel.co.uk
5. www.mommytalksurveys.com
6. https://www.mingle.respondi.com
7. www.myview.com
8. www.malibu-central.com
9. http://matrix-r.com
10. www.maximiles.co.uk
11. www.mutualpoints.com
12. www.mccainitsallgood.co.uk
13. www.meandmymoney.co.uk
14. www.myconsumerintel.com
15. www.mypaidopinion
16. www.mindtakeonlinepanel.com

That way, you know that you are a member of all of the above, and you have the correct web address. That is for a start....then allocate only one page to each panel, and head it with the date you joined, your username and password and your balance. Then put in your redemption level, then simply take a note of each time you do a survey for them.....jot down the date, the survey reference and how much it is worth and if you completed it....then pop a copy of the original email survey invitation into a filing cabinet folder on your PC called "Awaiting Action Pay" - and when you get paid for that particular survey, note that down, then note down your new balance, and delete the email, because it is no longer relevant.

You would be AMAZED how organized this keeps you....if it sounds complicated, trust me, it isn't and it has worked for me for over 7 years and I have been regularly weeding things out which do not work for me.

I did do an article on the subject of getting organized, and if it would help anyone, I can re-post this.....it appears to have been deleted in the tidy-up of the forums which happened some time ago.

I am here to help, just give me a shout! :)

Lizzie could you email a copy. Also is there a name for people who do sueveys. Survey doers seems a bit childish and I wouldn't like to be accused of being a child!!

Of course, Crusty, no worries, I will do this later when I get home. I will have to put my thinking cap on to see if I can coin a phrase for survey takers....I am sure we could all do this and come up with one...check out Hot Topics for a new thread on the subject....:)

Hi Crusty - not sure if we're carrying on with the News page - it has been a while hasn't it... I'd like to change it to a YourSayPays press page where we can tell you where the results of our surveys have featured in the press - how does that sound?

Perhaps a combination of the two the results would still be news.

Nice idea, Charlotte. Sounds good!

Crusty, just pinged off that little bit of info to you on getting organized....anyone else like a copy? It could fulfil one of your New Year's resolution - to get more organized! :)
