Yes, Janet I think this is called smoke and mirrors. You do more for less! This statement sounds very ambiguous

"We are now going to award points taking into account how easy the survey might be. We will still clearly tell you how many points will be awarded for a survey in the survey invitation."

Meaning, you can take a 15 minute survey now and only get paid £1, it depends on their interpretation of, what is an easy survey. I'm not surprised their forums have been temporally closed. I can imagine there would be a lot of complaints.
