Do you remember this one?

Do you remember when I said I would contact Cint about Samplicio.us surveys to see what reply we got?? This is the email I sent to them some time back -

Hi
Every time I attempt to complete a Samplicio.us survey I get the following
message. I am able to input the first few details of my name and age and
demographics, but thereafter I get the following (which is cut and pasted from the screen as I am a bit iffy on how to do a screenshot!!) - This only happens with Samplicio.us surveys and I do not know know why. I use the following browser - Internet Explorer 8 - and it means that I cannot complete as many surveys as I would like for your panel. Can you help me to resolve this please?
kind regards

And this is the response I got - which I may say I find far from satisfactory....

Hi,

Thank you for your email.

I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles accessing the surveys.

Steps you can take to ensure you are able to access the surveys are the following:
Make sure your popup blocker is turned off;
Download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player;
Take the survey from a computer (surveys are not compatible on smartphones or tablets);
Try using a different browser.

Thank you for your time and interest in our surveys.

Best regards,
Susie
Cint Support

And they had the cheek to say at the top of the email that my problem has now been deemed solved!!!!

Would you say any of that solves anything??????

Yeah she's probably not trained in anything beyond that (least you weren't advised to turn it off and on again). I doubt changing browser will help given it is the one most people design for - I use chrome and occasionally have to use IE e.g. for some coupon printing. An out of date plugin is more likely though without seeing the message it's hard to be sure. btw to print screen just click the prnt scrn button (which saves to clipboard) then open some image software like ms paint and click paste.

I've not experienced any problems with samplicio surveys. I use Windows XP and generally Firefox 8.0. I probably should update to 10.0, I guess. I have the latest versions of Flash and java and whatnot, as far as I know. I generally have web page functionality locked down pretty tight with adblocker and noscript, but add exceptions as they arise.

Wonderbug surveys tend not to work in Firefox, for me at least, due to problems in scrolling down the page. I always forget. Fortunately you can wait 10 minutes then paste the link into a different browser and continue from where you left off.

Recently I've had a spate of Cint surveys that I've been told are already full while my invitation email still reads 'sent 0 minutes ago'. Infuriating.

By the way, those Crowdology surveys in which you have 20 seconds to name as many things as you can, sometimes with helpful pictures - things like UK nuclear power stations, or foreign ministers, or French tourist sites, or top 40 singles by the Pet Shop Boys - amuse me. A very fun 40p. I wonder who commissions those - and why!?

About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous?
Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things!

I love these Botec, too....great fun, but it is quite hard to get them in a short time!! :)

I find the CINT ones frustrating when they are already closed but with the low redemption threshold and instant paypal payment, what more could you ask for....by the way, Chris, go for CINT too...they are really good ones! There is a list of them somewhere.....have a look onsite and you will find them! :)
