Yes Morrisons do have some good offers now and again, my store is just a short way away for me, i do pop in now and again, we used to get a leaflet coming through every month with all of their offers in it but since it stopped i seem to forget about them a bit, perhaps they should start doing it again! I do most of my shopping online now with Tesco or Asda, as it costs nearly £6.00 from Morrisons to my house in a taxi to get it all home even though it is not far away!

I must admit that the fry light sunflower oil spray makes my bacon egg and mushroom sandwich for breakfast taste even better than when i used to use a little sunflower oil!I can really taste the mushrooms and bacon now, i do not use butter in my bread, just tomato sauce. I got it on offfer too just to see what it was like, VERY IMPRESSED!

Aw thanks for your reply Serena. I'm a bit like the other 2 and don't really like Flora on my bread I prefer nice butter, but when it comes to cooking oil, I don't really like olive oil or other vegetable oils, so as it was so cheap, it gave me a chance to try it!! AND yes I liked it too! :¬) x

I have often heard that people of my genaration say that things don't taste the way they use to. Its more likely we don't eat the way we use to. For instance, I love a fry up but cooked in a non stick pan with no nice and greasey fried bread isn't quite the same when it was cooked in that lovely dripping (with the meaty bits and jelly at the bottom)my mother seemed to have an endless supply of.All the things we love about food we are told are bad for us, full cream milk, butter not marge, and a nice piece of meat with loads of fat so that it will make the cooking sooo much better. You can always not eat the fat once cooked. I'm sure you lot can think of other examples.
Olive oil---- europeon rubbish!!!

I must admit that when i make gravy i use all the meat stock and its the best! All our family LOVE my gravy! But i do try to be careful as i am 42 and 4stone over weight! When i had my son at 21 i followed Rosemary Connelys diet and fitness regiem, and lost loads of weight and was so fit and healthy(memories!) but i totally understand what you are saying Crusty,my sister is very fit and slim and healthy, but will not give up proper butter on her bread, and i do not blame her as i think we all need so much fat in our diet to keep our selves healthy, just not so much crisps, chips, pies, pasties cakes and chocolate i see these things as a treat and so they should be consumed as such, and then you enjoy them more when you do have them. FLAVOR NOT FAT is good and there are there is so many things to enhance your food now, i personally have a love of black pepper on most things and this apparently speeds up your metabolism, i lost 8lb before xmas just plastering everything with black pepper! LOL! I put it all back on though over Christmas !

I completely agree with you both crusty and serena...so true, food is all terrible what with artificial sweeteners and low fat this and that...the fat and sugar are unfortunately what makes things taste good but they are not necessarily good for you.

Yes, Serena, I will soon be 48 and am about 3 stones overweight, but it could be nearer four, I think.....however, I agree flavour is missing and fat is not necessarily the way to put the flavour back!!

I think cinammon also speeds up your metabolism and have developed a love of Curiously Cinnamon cereal!! :) I lost loads of weight too and put it all back on again! I think we all do :) you are not alone :)
