The shame of it!

For the first time in my survey-taking life I've failed quality control! I took a Populus survey via Vivatic, just now, and right at the very end I received a very stern message from Populus telling me that I would not be rewarded because I had failed quality control. Naturally, I was mortified!

Apparently when answering the question about how many people are in my household at the beginning of the survey, I answered "2" (which is correct) but at the end I allegedly answered "0". What irks me is that this is clearly a typographical error, and not anything I did in a misleading fashion. I'm now feeling a bit paranoid that I'll be blacklisted or something! Oh the shame of it..... :-(

Has anyone had any similar quality control punishments?

Yes, I did with NewVista - my son (who sits in the same room as me on the XBox) was shouting and I put in the wrong number, just like you, right at the end and I have to say I did have STERN WORDS with him for distracting me - he is 13!!! I think you get 3 strikes in a year so don't worry too much!

Sorry, this is actually me - Fikinz - didn't notice hubby was still logged in :(

I'm glad I'm not along, Fikinz...It was like being back at school again, lol. Keep calm and carry on, as they say :-))

I've done it once with NewVista and once with Populus but only through Vivatic, does anyone know whether these count against the three strikes if you are not logged into the actual site, I would have thought not but you never know....

Well, I presume as I didn't get an e-mail from them, it wouldn't count, btw mine was through Vivatic as well!

It has happened to me only once with Newvista ever.....and that was a typo, too, katie...feel no shame, girl, it is easy to do....very frustrating too if you are nearing redemption as I was....on 48 and chucked out of a 2 points survey!!

Has anyone ever got a processing error in the middle of a NVL survey? I seem to get them quite regularly and then your record is locked for 15 mins and sometimes when you come back the survey is then closed! grrrr, that is annoying too! :)

Well, I don't feel too bad now I know it's happened to you too, Lizzie! ;-) If it can happen to our Lizzie, it can happen to anyone... :-) :-) It did irk me to be told off so sternly though....Felt like I was back in the Mother Superior's office being told off for my school skirt being to short!!!

I agree...you do feel guilty, don't you?! I remember I once nearly lost my job as a bar maid for wearing my skirt too short too! You would think that would be an asset but nope....must have been my legs!! :(

LOL! They probably felt threatened by how lovely your legs are, and didn't want the competition! ;-)
