Surveyhead / GratisPoints

So Surveyhead is GratisPoints is Surveyhead, right? Same website setup, and anytime a survey is available at one site, the same survey appears at the other. Once I've done a survey at one site, I can no longer complete it at the other, so they're mutually exclusive.

Surveyhead's only reward option is Paypal at ~£16 (US$25), shoebuy vouchers being worse than useless. GratisPoints gives the same Paypal option (at 2500 points), but also offers ~£10 naked wines and HMV vouchers at 1525 points. This is the same £/pt ratio, so you don't miss out by claiming the lower amount.

When you screen out of a survey, as you tend to do regularly, Surveyhead gives you nothing, whereas GratisPoints gives you a consolation 10 points. Those actually add up pretty quickly!

Are the identical surveys at each site always worth the same amount in £ equivalents? I think not. The one I was just screened out of offered 400 points (=£2.54) but only £1.12 at Surveyhead. Quite the difference. I've not checked enough to be sure how often that is the case. Does Surveyhead ever pay more than GratisPoints?

I put in a redemption request with Surveyhead recently (and have another £6ish pending) but I think I probably should drop them and switch to GratisPoints, at least until my first claim at GP, to take advantage of the free headstart 700 pts from registration. Thereafter, I should collect the remaining £10 at Surveyhead, and then drop them forever and just use GratisPoints.

Any reason not to?

Botec - try onlycashsurveys.com - you can redeem at $20 (around £12.75) paypal (same company as surveyhead/gratis)

I have been with Surveyhead for ages and regularly get invitations which I can complete for $8 and $6 but the redemption process takes forever.....however, I have not had much of a chance to compare them with Gratispoints even though I am with them too. I have a few points with Gratis, but tend to do Surveyhead more as I am familiar with them. Give them time, and I will see, but you bring up some very interesting points, Botec, your time is precious as is mine, and so you have to maximise your earnings.

Yes, Ruthie, I agree, Onlycashsurveys are quite good too but I have not cashed out yet with them. :)

Thanks Ruth! I think. I mean, I can register here too, pick up the headstart for doing so, and quickly get to a first redemption. But after that, which one do I stick with? GratisPoints if I want CDs from HMV, I guess, otherwise onlycashsurveys.

I don't like the name. That's a very scam-site-y name, don't you think?

Also, I can't seem to find a UK-specific registration page, just one which wants a state and zipcode. Is there a way around that?

It seems a strange way to run a business, this multiple frontages on the same company thing.

Sorry to butt in, Botec!

Try just putting in www.onlycashsurveys.co.uk and see what happens, Botec? :) just a thought :)

I do agree that sounds a scam site name but I think they are legitimate - Ruthie, have you ever cashed out with them?

No, that doesn't exist, LizzieAnn.
I thought I'd see whether I could just leave out the zip and so forth and enter full details later, but interestingly enough the moment I entered my usual gmail address, a red box popped up marked 'Country not allowed'! Are they just examining my IP address? No, because entering my throwaway hotmail address does not provoke the red box. So how do they know where that gmail address is registered? In fact, I'm not sure right now whether I got it in the UK or NZ. Maybe they don't want kiwis. I'm confused.

A bit strange - I'm registered with all three plus another one (slamdunksurveys.com) and I have used my hotmail address .com not .co.uk.
(I don't know if that makes a difference)....

They are all legit - I have cashed out with all four survey sites... paypals from three sites and a hmv voucher from gratis points...

hope that helps...
