charity surveys

A few months ago I filled in a charity survey with Toluna and within 24 hours got a phone call from a charity company. They asked a lot of questions on charities and what they do but the pay off was they wanted a donation. This morning I filled in yet another charity survey with Toluna and this evening got another call that was the same as the first. Since I did not give out any personal info in either case, where did these companies get my phone number from!

About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous?
Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things!

There have been a number of people who this has happened to, crusty, and yes, I have been one of them too. I feel it is related to Consumer Voice, not Toluna, unfortunately. I think they do give out information even though you can say you do not want this to happen. When you feel strongly about this, maybe you should rethink joining them? I don't mind, really, because I donate to a number of charities but it is an intrusion and I can see your point. :(

Why I like surveys: I enjoy giving my opinion and earning a little extra to help out with the shopping now and again and it keeps me occupied.

Serena well said.We pick the charities we want to donate to,not vice versa. What bugs me even more are the TV ads.Must cost a fortune.
