Where is everyone today? Off for a rave-up this weekend anyone? Me, I have an exciting visit to the opticians to look forward to....don't I lead a dashing and astonishing lifestyle? I know celebrities who would be jealous of my lifestyle....but I can't think of anyone's names off the top of my head!!!

What are you all doing this weekend then? :) :) :) do tell!

My son is treating us all to a massive Chinese take out, and we have the new Jason statham film BLITZ to watch while munching, cant wait as he normally spends his weekends at his girlfriends, so it will be lovely to all be together for the weekend. My husband will be playing with his new beer kit on Saturday morning,(preparing it) so he will be happy!
Nothing else major really just the norm, surveys, housework, sorting out the cats bedding, needs, wants, ect.

I hope your not going to specsavers Lizzie, i have not had good experiences from them with certain family members, a bit dissatisfied to say the least, basically from chair to glasses, big difference, if you know what i mean?

I bought my last pair of glasses online at Glasses Direct for £19 and a fiver postage....so no, no glasses company is going to get my hard earned pennies out of me for the astronomical amount they charge for glasses.....especially because hubby used to work for Vision Express and he says lenses used to cost about 20p each and frames a pound or two!! Now, the cat is out of the bag.

Do post your experiences on the Praise & Shame section Serena, we all need to be warned in case we get double vision! :)

About me: I am 62, retired and have never married. I live in a little cottage in the Yorkshire Dales with my presant cat Sarah.
Why I like surveys: Apart from my relatives considering me to be an opinionated old whatsit, they give something to do and the cash helps with the cat treats.

I have to go to the optician every year and it is a local one just 20 miles away, as I'm diabetic and if my doctor doesn't get a letter from him she doesn't stop winging. Thankfully my eyes haven't got worse( in fact they've improoved abit) as being a local optician he is expensive for specs but the eye test cost nothing.

Poor crusty, George is also a diabetic, and my father in law was recently diagnosed as borderline and has to go for eye tests too. It is the fact that the specs are so expensive that is an absolute outrage, though, but I would thoroughly recommend getting your prescription next time you need new glasses and you can go to Glasses Direct online and just enter in your prescription and chose any pair even a four pair trial to see if they suit you! :) great service and soooooooooo much cheaper! :)

and I so agree with you, Serena, weekends with the family, at home mucking about, pillow fights, film watching nights and lots of lovely eats and laughs and music and fun! :) :) you can't beat them! and you are right, Monday morning comes far too quickly! :(
