Queen Cinderella

I am ashamed of myself today, as I have just realised that I have never publicly thanked YSP panelist Cinderella, or to give her her real name Karen, for all the running around she did for my dear old mum and father when I was in hospital earlier this year. karen and her husband and little boy, did a lot for my folks, picking them up and taking them to the hospital to visit me. Taking my mum shopping and taking my father to doctors appointments. Cinders you and your family are stars. You deserve to be the stars of the ball and from the bottom of my heart, thankyou for your kindness.
This woman I actually met at a forum in Newcastle and just got on talking, when something I said prompted Karen to say she recognised me from the holiday and especially from dealing with the american police. From that point we became friends and I met her husband and young son. We have had the occaisional barbecue and the occaisional drink, yet this family did what they did for my parents. That is friends. Thankyou thankyou thankyou.

That is so nice George and what a wonderful thing for Karen/Cinderella to have done for you and your family. It makes us all very proud to have such nice panellists who are willing to go the extra mile for their friends!

About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous?
Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things!

It is really nice of you to thank Cinders publicly, George, you are a bit of a star yourself, you know. We do have some wonderful panellists, Kay, you are so right!

We should all take time out to do as George has done - to praise someone. This public act lifts the spirits of not just the person being praised (if they get to hear of it!), but also others, like you and me. Good deeds are done all the time - acts of kindness - which should counteract the bad things that are reported. Well done George and best wishes to you and yours and Karen/Cinders!

I so agree with that sentiment Maxxi, it is praiseworthy to feel that way. If we all took time out to say some good things about others, you are quite right, it would counteract all the bad things which we hear about reported on the news. I think this should apply to news too....let's hear reports of good things happening not just bad things.

Its nice to be appreciated. Its nice to know that there are people out there like Cinders. There no-one like that where I live, I'd be stepped over or walked past if anything happened, as I found out when slipped down stairs at Gilmour Street Station in Paisley. I was tired as had been up most of night with an ill relative.

Poor Ros, you have had a tough time. Maybe if we do more to appreciate others, some of it will come back to us, as in good things coming full circle?

You find out what you have deep down inside yourself when you are forced to have to deal with difficult circumstances, I think, and human beings are a lot tougher than we give them credit for....there is a train of thought which says that we are not given more than we can cope with.....I wonder if that is true? You are made of tougher stuff than you realize, Ros!! You coped well I bet.
