Thomas Cook sink to new depths

Many of you will be aware of my arguments with Thomas Cook. At least one YSP panel member, was on the same holiday as me in 2008 and endured the same problems. In the posting further down this page is a topic, Thomas Cook No Customer Service, with the posts that went up.
It even got to the point it was all put right. WRONG. I could not have been further from the truth. My aunt had recieved compensation from TCs, see earlier posting at bottom of page. She recieved money and vochers towards another holiday. Yeaterday my aunt recieved a letter from Thomas Cook demanding another £200. The reason, one of the vouchers sent to her from TCs headquaters was invalid. My aunt had her holiday at the beginning of april this year and has returned, but this nasty letter is saying unless she pays this £200 at the nearest TC branch they will take it from her card details they have on file. Instantly I sent an email to Ian Derbyshire the CEO of TC about this threat pointing out that not only was this error TCs with the voucher, but one he authorised due to the problems my aunt had suffered. I also pointed out that the practice of taking money from an account without permission was an actual crime of theft and that if he did not stop this action asap, then action would be taken against TC. I also added that my aunt has the letter from TC stating they will take the money unless she voluntry pays up at a branch.
This is an outrage this action and one that will be pointed out to ABTA and to the Ombudsman. Companies such as TC cannot and should not take such steps to recover something they have no right to recover.
I will keep everone informed as to the outcome.

Im Georges mum and believe me the upset this company is causing is terrible. My sister was in tears lastweek when she got a demand for more money from Thomas Cook. But George is on their trail and he is like a dog, he will not give up, especially as he is so stubborn.

Now we can see where George got his good looks from if we believe you, but I do not believe you are his mother, you are far too young.

No LizzieAnn its not me. Its my nephew Leighton. He is really cute, but he is 4 now and becoming a right little s**. Honestly my mother is 77 years old. She is very young looking and often when out with my sister they get mistaken for sisters and evn once when out shopping with me, she was asked was I her husband!!!!!!!!.
So you can see were I get my absolutely ravishingly good looks from.

Sorry to hear your having more problems with TC. No doubt you will sort it out again.
Lovely to see your mum doing the surveys, tell her I will pop round and see her soon.

At long last the TC saga is at an end. Yesterday my aunt recieved a letter throught the post aswell as an email, stating that she has no more money to pay and that it was an oversight on their behalf and any further communication from the billing department to redirect them to Ian Derbyshire CEO, but he has informed the billing department to close the case. So they may have sorted it out, but, neither myself or aunt and many other family members will no longer use TC for package holidays due to the problems, time taken and disrespectful manner in which TC conduct themselves.

I am so glad you reached a resolution George, but thanks for making everyone else aware of the type of company TC is so we can all look out.

I once was on a Thomas Cooke holiday and found the holiday reps very unfriendly and I had to angrily fight my corner regarding getting my accommodation changed as the original apartment was damp and I refused to unpack until better rooms were given to us without us paying any upgrade charges.

It took me a lot of time and words to get them to do anything and I ended up demanding that they visit the apartment, smell the smells and see the damp for themselves before they most reluctantly decided to sort it out, eventually to our satisfaction.
