Newvista good news!

Everyone knows (who is a member) how difficult it is to reach 50 points/£50 with Newvistalive but to salve the wound, and obviously because they are listening to what their panelists say (and I give them a huge gold star for this alone!) I did a survey yesterday which would have taken me over the 50 points mark for which I unfortunately did not qualify and got the following message at the end of it....

"we recognise that it may have taken you some time to get this far in the survey so in addition to our monthly prize draw, to show our appreciation you will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of 500 prizes of £15 which will be credited to your points balance and you will be notified before Friday 5th August if you are a winner!"

What do you think of that then? Some panelists, I know, have a low opinion of prize draws, but hey, it is not actually costing you anything to enter this one, and the time you feel you have already wasted getting so far in the survey when you were chucked out is actually being rewarded with the POSSIBILITY of a £15 credit to your account which would certainly help you on your way to the £50 needed for redemption - this is not a small prize like the GFK £2 or £5 ones.

They are improving very quickly and like you I am on £49 and only need £1 to get my money for my holiday.

Glad you agree George, and fingers crossed for that elusive £1 in time for your holidays....of course, I need mine in time for the school and college holidays which have already started....they are a very expensive time!

Wow that's a message I've never seen .Have been with Newvistalive since they were itsyourview have just received my 6th cheque and am already on the ladder for the next.I was shocked though , the Cint surveys I have been taking through the site weren't being credited , so I contacted Cint and within a week I had 12 missing points in my account.I reached 62 points on 30th June and got my cheque through on the 7th July .

Just have to say that after 5 years of taking the GFK surveys last month I won the £250 prize draw .The small payments add up too , i am slightly confused about the media usage surveys though , when I do one I get £5.00 , yet when my daughter gets the same MUS she gets a £10 reward .

Wow, well done Tracey, on the GFK win!! They run regular 7 day MUS, Tracey, for which they pay you £5 but the confusion might come in because perhaps your daughter is younger, and the panel always look for younger panelists to contribute and consequently pay them more. For example, the food diary I am with pay £15 in referral fees if I refer someone between 17-34 but only £5 for someone over 34!! Oldies are not so golden in some cases it seems!!

The Cint surveys are an interesting new string to the Newvista bow and I had the same problem at first but discovered on enquiry to their customer services department that the Cint surveys are all collected and then they add on the points to the Newvista account shortly after the first of the following month, so if you complete a survey on 20th April, you will not see a credit until about 5th May.

The best survey site for me at the moment has to be surveynetwork I joined in September last year and have had £220 in payments so far .The payment threshold is convenient and the fact that it pays so fast is brilliant.I always keep an eye on which surveys I have been credited for though and sometimes have to contact Angela to chase the survey payments , My main advice to anyone taking surveys is to have a seperate mail folder for all your completed surveys and to take screen shots of completion pages. No one is perfect and some companies do miss out payments because of the sheer volume of members .

Good sound advice, Tracey, I never thought of screen shots....but I do always take notes of what the survey was about and any bits I liked such as format, in my loose leaf folder and I do keep an eye on the unpaid ones, as certain companies can be slower than others. I find that surveynetwork are very good too.
