Jo By: JoDate: 31 Jul 2011 10:00 AM I do not know if things have changed but a few years ago we were unable to use a PO account. I have a couple of registered email addresses on my Paypal account so that would work fine.
006.5 By: 006.5Date: 31 Jul 2011 10:23 AM Jo, the simple answer to your question is "YES". I have 6 email addresses attached to my PayPal account. 2 are my addresses, 1 is my mums, 1 is my fathers, 1 is my young cousins and 1 is for the fishing club. For my 2 addresses I have 1 bank account registered with PP, my mum and dad have 1 account registered with PP, as do my young cousin and the fishing club. Now it works fine, my young cousin always asks if he can buy, say from ebay and if need be I change the bank (already in PP) to supply funds. The fishing club no problem as I am treasurer and mum and dad know exactly what to do.
Jo By: JoDate: 31 Jul 2011 11:39 AM That's why I don't think PO accounts can be used George, as it doesn't accept all payments. The ones used for benefits, pensions, etc. only accept money from these sources. We had to change to a basic bank account as the PO one was a nightmare, but they may have made changes to it since we closed our account.

LizzieAnn About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous? Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things! By: LizzieAnnDate: 31 Jul 2011 2:18 PM My husband added my email address to his paypal account so I could earn it and he could spend it, perfectly fair, logical and all above board, as he often buys things for me from ebay and I wouldn't know where to start!

My husband has been with them for ages, too, and also has a 100% feedback reputation but he guards his secrets well. He would tell me if I asked, but I bet you know more.

I am a novice I'll admit where this is concerned.
FriendlyLynn About me: Caring Christian lady who is disabled Why I like surveys: gives me a chance to share my views and gives me subjects to think about. By: FriendlyLynnDate: 10 Aug 2011 4:55 PM Regarding EBay I have been a buyer since 2001 and spend a fair amount over the average year on there. Beyond the occasional problem I find it a very useful way to buy things I want with very little hassle and can still feel like a normal shopper despite it being online and not going to actual shops, which is something I do very rarely due to my disabilities. Also I have often found the prices to be far cheaper even with added postage than shops charge and have obtained a lot of lovely bargains, especially for my pets and my hobbies.

006.5 By: 006.5Date: 12 Aug 2011 2:05 PM Mary, should you purchase from ebay, the advert will say what the delivery estimate is and how quickly the item will be dispatched from the time of the end of the sale. When I sell on ebay, I say the item will be dispatched within 2-3 days, so they should receive within 5 days. Two reasons I do this is because 1, should it be a friday the end of the ebay auction, it is not always possible to send it that day, but, never dispatch the same day as the sale. Just in case it is a bogus buyer, always wait a couple of days and always get proof of posting, but for insurance purposes always send recorded delivery as it is the buyer who pays P&P and a signature is required at the receiving end.

Never knew where to start, or even what to do. I cant thank you enough. Should I get stuck somewhere, I'll have no hesitation in asking. You have pretty much explained it all to me, for which I am truly grateful. Thankyou

Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things! By: LizzieAnnDate: 12 Aug 2011 9:13 PM Good advice, George, but one thing I would mention is that my husband has been selling on ebay for years and he always makes it a point to despatch an item as soon as he is paid. He literally goes to the post office as soon as he receives paypal into his account. He has nearly 2000 feedback and none negative. He also always sends by recorded delivery and scans in the receipt he gets from the post office and emails it to the buyer to prove he has sent his item, and keeps the receipt and tracks the item if there is any query, then when he gets feedback he makes a note in a special notebook for the purpose. I hope that helps too. George has been doing this for a long time and so has my husband and I think the advice about getting an idea about costs from other listings is good too but bear in mind that the time you list is very important, too. You can chose what time your sales go LIVE on the site and the optimum times are usually a Tuesday or Thursday evening between 8pm and 9pm. Earlier, and you catch people having their tea, and later and they are thinking about bathtime and bed!! My husband has been using this formula for years, to good effect, but you will also find that it is very much a hit and miss with whether or not things sell, depending on what people really want. Good luck, Mary.

I think thats a good idea to scan the receipt from the post office. Certainly be doing that. Now it will be a spring clean hunting out out stuff thats been hidden away in cupboards! Thank you LizzieAnne
