Hi John, Valued Opinions is well known for using the Brainjuicer for surveys. From my point of view I hate the damn thing. It goes slowly, the pages take forever and a day to load and they certainly take longer to complete than normal surveys. Now if Brainjuicer pops up for a survey, I close it down instantly.

This is interesting, as I know we have discussed this subject before, but oddly enough Toluna have a little sponsored poll asking if anyone likes this brainjuicer survey, and if you say yes, you are redirected and asked if you would like to join the Brainjuicer innovation panel and they are exceptionally good....they have chances to take part in all sorts of interesting forums and the total payment for these is anything up to £15 paypal - I have taken part in one so far, and have absolutely no problems doing so - they are not like the little surveys. A long time ago, Brainjuicer had their own panel and they were good and the rewards were great, but that is a thing of the past and now the innovation panel only exists, and it runs projects which you can sign up for. Really interesting, but I don't think you can join off the cuff, you have to be invited via them.

I thought thought the brain juicer panel closed down a couple of years ago? I was a member for a while.

Yup, it did. What they do now is have a innovation and creative place where they undertake projects and you have moderators for each project and they have about three parts to them and you get paid £5 per part you participate in so they are very very sought after, Cathy.

Is that Brain Juicer or the Juicy Brains community ? or are they one in the same thing ? So many sites with similar names I'm starting to lose the plot .I am a member of the Juicy Brains community and have taken part in some of their product evaluation forums , the last one was about coffee lasted for three weeks and I got paid £80 in amazon vouchers .Well worth it , but I think i was directed to that site via Valued Opinions .

Yes, the community, Tracey, they are really good. £80 in Amazon vouchers is amazing. I have only taken part in a Sky project which paid me £15 paypal.

I too hate the brain jucier surveys and find them very childish and not very well thought out. I still do them if they pop up but have been unable to complete several recent ones as they froze before completion.

Ah, I will look out for you then, Tracey! I have put my name down for a few projects and looking forward to taking part again especially if the incentive is more generous than the last one!

brain juicer is a big cheater, you complete the survey and then it freezes. I close them straight away

Lots of people feel that way about Brainjuicers, but they don't always do that, I think it depends on technical things on your computer, but sadly I am not very technical so can't tell....

There have been such serious problems with Brainjuicers recently that Toluna had automatically been paying people who complain about a juicer freezing halfway through. The best way to unfreeze a juicer it to take a screenshot to show what has happened - it then promptly wakes up and throws you out for breach of your undertaking not to copy any material in the survey. That is in itself pretty rich, as most sites require a screenshot as proof of a problem, and you get thrown out even if you screenshotted a page with no more than your own personal data on it.

Interesting notion, the screenshot one, and not one I have ever used. I find most companies will understand if you simply tell them what the survey was about, then they know you have attempted it.
