Would you like to join?

I think I may already have asked this question, but is anyone interested? If so, would you ask Kay to send me your email address then I will refer you - (bear in mind that this is the company which invited me to a forum involving a £30 reward) -

Do you know someone who like you, would like to give us their opinion on some of the UK’s most well-known and respected companies?

If you do, then please get them to email me detailing their email address and we will send them an email to sign up to the Consumer Voice panel.

In return once your referral has completed 2 client surveys we will credit both your and their online account with a £5 bonus, so remember to get them to reference your email address in their email to me so we can credit this to you.

You can refer up to 3 friends so you can earn yourself an extra £15 pounds in total and get yourself closer to the £45 account redemption amount.

Please be assured that any personal information supplied will only be used for the purpose of sending you your prize and will be fully protected under the Data Protection Act of 1998

Hi LizzieAnn, I don't think I am on this panel, can you refer me? Cheers

By: LizzieAnnDate: 06 Aug 2011 1:07 PM

Hi Tracey, yes, they are the same company, I believe. I have been with them for some time and never had any problems. I find them reliable and easy to deal with and Chris is lovely to talk to ( I have spoken to him on the phone when he phoned me after the forum I took part in as well as conversed by email to sort out a few log-in problems I had ages ago). What kind of problems are you having?

Yes, Jo, no problems, I will refer you. Thanks.

Anyone who joins this site has to be brain dead. All I can say is you will never get paid because they just stop sending surveys when you get near payout. Avoid like the plague.

I used to be a panelist and due to surveys drying up and points not being awarded, I decided to resign from their panel. But this is why I suggested a YSP survey watchdog to check out these sites and to get a good feedback from a broad spectrum of people.

Couldn't agree with you more George. We can then end up with 2 lists-
1.Panels that everyone finds acceptable to use
2.Panels to steer well clear of.
Hopefully the YSP guys will get things moving.

I have been doing some further research on this panel via www.moneysavingexpert.com.
Consensus of opinion is that you get near to payout and then you don't receive any more surveys.Sounds very iffy to me!

I am sorry most people feel this way about the panel, but I had a conversation with the owner by telephone and whilst we did not discuss this specific question (I have accumulated £16.20 which is nearly halfway to payout but most of the surveys are prize draws and only now and then do they do ones worth £1.80 each) we did discuss the fact that almost ALL the surveys were commissioned by charities who do not have extra money to spend offering incentives and they felt the best way to administer this offering was by a prize draw and you do have the option to choose different prizes. I wonder if this will happen, often, then, the fact that people feel differently about panels? Is it possible to be unbiased?

John Fitch
By: John FitchDate: 07 Aug 2011 3:15 PM

Okay so Charities can not afford to pay big money to the survey companies like this one who decides to keep all of the money by not paying survey panelists for carrying out the surveys.Am I off the mark here!

OK, I get your point, John, but I have not had the experience of not being paid as I have not reached redemption yet, so I cannot comment on that. I was told it was difficult for them by the owner, but not impossible! Unless that specific experience happens to you, perhaps you are not in a position to comment, though, if you see what I mean? If I am not paid, I do avoid a company, but so far this one has done nothing to me I dislike, and in fact I was paid prompty for a forum £30 organized through them by the charity MIND - the cheque arrived within two days!

I this just a way of earning some extra money for yourself then, without any thought of whether its a site you should be promoting?

All survey taking is a way of earning extra money for yourself, but you must enjoy taking surveys, be honest wherever possible, and always try to deal fairly with companies, and they should do the same with you. That is not always the case, though, Nellie. I never promote any site in any way for money, and do not get paid to promote any site I am on the panel of for any reason. I, of course, have personal preferences for sites I have been dealt fairly with, and also feel strongly about others who have not been so fair, but it is a personal preference, not a corporate one!

This is another reaso why we need the watchdog setting up.I'm quite new to this survey thing.Us newbies need the feedback of the experienced people like Lizzie and George to make sure we don't join up with the wrong people

LizzieAnn I have just checked my balance with them and am quite surprised that I am on £27.50 , the last paying survey I had from them was on 08/03/11 and the previous one 27/12/ 10 .I do take their surveys as soon as they come in , the problem is they now tend to send out the prize draw surveys instead of the paying ones , Not that I mind , the possibility of winning something is a bonus and these surveys are usually based on questions regarding charities.I have been a member since 2007 though and have referred friends who I know have joined but I haven't received my Bonus for the referrals.Everytime I try to email them I get the message that the email doesn't exist ? maybe I have the wrong address , but I am using the one they send in the invites .

Sorry to say I really don't think LizzieAnn has got any idea about what survey taking is all about. She is just thinking about what she can earn from referrals. Perhaps they should have a referrals forum so anyone can post then we would not have LizzieAnn recommending all the worst sites on the internet just to earn a buck.

Baggy
By: BaggyDate: 08 Aug 2011 4:11 PM

Now, that is not pleasant Neil. I have been recommended to sites by LizzieAnn and they have all turned up trumps. I am sure your are incorrect in your assumption and let's face it it is easy to pass on the odd bad egg quite unintentionally.

We're setting up the watchdog so that we can all share our experiences both good and bad to try and help each other here.We are probably a diverse bunch of people but are one team, all being members of YSP.There's enough hassle in the world at present so let's have a bit of fun and the odd bit of merriment with no nastiness.

I always say live and let live, Neil, but you do not obviously feel the same way. If I have ever suggested referring anyone, the referral works both ways. The person joining is earning a joining fee and I am earning a referral fee, and I have NEVER been so insulted in all my life. I consider myself to be self taught, kind, thoughtful and considerate. I spend a lot of time and energy doing what I think is fair and helpful to fellow survey takers who apparently appreciate what I do or I would not get so many nice kind thoughtful people like Baggy and John sticking up for me and batting for me when I obviously have done nothing whatsoever to antagonise you.

This is the kind of nonsense I did not expect to even HEAR on this forum. We are all above that kind of rubbish. This is not Twitter, or Facebook or some social networking site in which you can roundly lambast everyone you feel bad about and quite honestly perhaps you are the person with the problem, as I have said nothing to offend anyone here.

I rest my case your honour, and thank you kindly John and Baggy for your supportive and kind words. That idiot had me in tears....

Hi Tracey,

sorry, I didn't answer your question, yes, I have an address for fast.map too, from a cheque I received for the forum I did. I also have a name, other than Chris, for a member of staff who I found very helpful. His name is Alastair Macmillan.

Fast.MAP
Colonial Buildings
59-61 Hatton Gardens
London
EC1N 8LS

Tel - 0207 242 0702
fax - 0207 209 4116

I have never used any of this information myself, but come to think of it, I know a couple of people who I have referred and I have not been paid for this, I wonder if they have - apparently both of us get £5! Am I being mercenary and mean?! I think I will try to phone tomorrow as my emails usually get a reply but on the question of referral so far I have had no reply at all.

Tracey Harman

Grrr LizzieAnn I sent the following mail to Chris

Hi Chris

I was wondering if you could explain to me why I have not been credited for my referrals.I know that the referee has signed up to the site and had a confirmation from yourselves.I am slightly disappointed that I have been a member of the site since 2007 and am still trying to reach my first payment redemption, the last paying survey I had from you was on 08/03/2011 and the one before that was 27/12/10, yet I complete every survey you send me .There have been many negative reviews about your site which state that people should not bother taking your surveys as redemption's are almost impossible . I was hoping you could ease my mind regarding the likelyhood of my ever reaching the £45 threshold .

My reply was

Good afternoon,

Payment credits are still offered for surveys and you can find out if this was the case for the survey in question by referring to the solicitation email we sent to you for this survey.

However, whether or not you receive a survey invitation depends on a number of factors including the profile of respondents a client requires and the level of demand for research we have from clients.

Kind regards
Chris

As you can see I wasn't exactly answered as to why my referral payments haven't been made.In fact they weren't even mentioned in his reply .

Oh my word. I am just catching up on the forum and come across this. Neil, you do talk a load of tosh! Have you read the articles written by LizzieAnn? Have you seen the list of survey sites which could easily contain referral links but don't? In the last 30 days I have received £60 in various forms from sites I found thanks to Lizzie. Clearly they are not that bad. The fact is this, she is sharing her personal experiences. She is not claiming she knows everything about survey sites, she is simply telling us what she has found. Perhaps instead of attacking valuable forum members you should start providing constructive advice?

Sadly Baggy, Neil/Nellie left the panel of their own accord, which i think is best in the circumstances.

At YSP we are all for people expressing their views on the panel- it is what it is here for. The joy of the forums are for people to express their opinion and discuss it with others.

However we do insist that people express their opinion in a respectful manner, without causing upset or offense. Happily 99.9% of you all do that and it was wonderful to see how you all rallied around LizzieAnn as a community! She's not one of our Customer Service Champions for nothing as I know all the advice she offers (about customer service or other panels) comes from experience and from the heart- and i'm sure she would never knowingly recommend a dud site.

I'd like to thank everyone on behalf of LizzieAnn who jumped to her defence, you are all a great bunch and you make the forums a pleasant and informative place.
