That is not uncommon with GTM. Usually you can say 1 point is equal to 2.5p, however, with exchange rates changing all the time, rates can change dramatically. I got a cheque from GTM for 2000 points expecting about £50 and received a cheque for £72.

I quite agree, it is a great idea to convert it at the last minute before they write the cheque and it is definitely in our favour!

Depends on the exchange rate with this site. Sometimes I have had £35 for 1000 points. The pound is low against the dollar just now so you get less. But at least you can be sure of getting paid.

Love this site - just got paid £31.00 for 1,000 points and now up to 950 points again. It takes awhile for the cheque, but you can always get paid. Preferred it when you got 5 points just for screening out!

I am at 710 points just now but does anyone else find it frustrating that you often only get about 35 or 40 points, sometimes even just sweeps entries, for a survey?

I don't do the sweepstake ones - 20 minutes for 3 entries!!! Have just done a 60 point survey, so cashing out again!

Well done, Fi, maybe it's the case that the more you do, the higher amounts of points the surveys add up to, that is a thought, and also I wonder when the last time was that you updated your profile?! I always find that useful. Have you tried Euroclix? It works wonderfully when you update your profile on that, you get more of a "percentage" completion there.

I utterly love GTM and can't speak highly enough of them. I am waiting on my 8th cheque at the moment. I only had a problem once and it was rectified immediately.

My only issue with GTM is over screenouts. They normally just don't want to know about unfair screenouts, even if you send them screenshots. They just respond that their records show you were screened out. But what gets me hopping mad is that several times I haev been happily doing a PAID survey and suddenly I've been taken out of it "because they have more urgent need of me to do another survey" - which pays only sweepstakes entries.
They actually pay quite well in dollar terms, and you get a cehque in sterling drawn on a UK bank so no bank charges.

That is a new one on me, Tasha, has that really ever happened to you, being taken out of a survey because they have a more urgent need of you to do another survey?! That is incredible and I would have something quite strongly to say about that if it happened to me. I do not do the sweeps ones at all anymore and just stick to the points ones, but have you noticed the difference between what they used to pay per survey (roughly 100 points a time) and what they pay now - you are lucky to have 35 points a time for 20-30 minutes!! There is no reason or explanation for that, is there?

I quite like GTM (apart from the screen-outs) I just like getting the cheque instead of vouchers .... it just makes it so much easier not being tied to some shop - and although it takes weeks to receive the cheque, it is always good to put it in the Bank..

Handy if pay day is a distant memory, too....and the exchange rate is good!
