Product test sites & Focus groups

I am a member of a few product testing sites and was wondering if any other panel members are too ? I was just last week invited to trial a new HP all in one photo printer and have taken part in many product testing trials in the last few years Voconline.com .Unlike surveys you don't receive an incentive for all of these trials but you do the majority of the time get to keep the product you are testing. There are a number of others that I use too Clixresearch being a major one for health and beauty product tests.

Focus groups are a great way of earning extra cash .(I can imagine George in the background saying that's ok if you can get to them .) I have recently signed up to a new group ( new to me )called Focus4people , as well as holding focus groups in cities they also have quite a few online and home focus groups .Example :Presently they are recruiting carers who administer insulin injections for a 40 minute telephone questionnaire and the payment is £140. Is any one else a member and if so what do you think of them ?

Go for it Tracey Its great if you can get in them.
Must admit, I am a member of the most sought after survey company, "Survey Pulse". On this site its all about logging what you have bought, were you have been, what you have seen and heard and your telephone bills, mobile bills, subscrition tv bill. By logging these bits of information each week you can earn £12 pm, and it only takes no more than 15 minutes to log all this information in every month. To me that is superb earnings retuirn. Alas it is very difficult to become a panelist, it is basically invitation only now.

Yes, Tracey, I have taken part in loads of product tests in the past and some forums and groups online and on paper. Unfortunately I am not in a position to do any home ones...I am with focus4people and did a magazine trial for them and have tested air freshener mostly for Pinecone, Ipsos and Valuedopinions and did a £50 Telephone interview for Surveynetwork on cosmetics. I am always interested in telephone ones which pay really well but have never heard of Voconline.com - are they British or American? Is that the web address? And Clixresearch, are they related to Euroclix - could you post the web addresses, or could you refer me? If you like, ask Kay to give you my email address, Tracey, and get in touch?

My mother is getting confused, it is Consumer Pulse she logs her information into and it is me who is the member, I just let her fill it in as she buys most of what gets logged and the phone bills etc I log. She gets the rewards of vouchers for Next £180 (£10 per voucher), thats me being kind to her and I get her Amazon vouchers from other sites £60 to date. Who gets the best deal, she does.

Put the money you saved buying your usual toilet cleaner into a Fi Have Fun fund, then Fi, and that way you will have earned something just for the glamour of it!!

I'd like to test the new Airbus A380 but unfortunately I would need to chop the wings off to keep it in the garage

Hi LizzieAnn voconline is basically the test centre for HP products .I'm not sure if it is British or American I joined after trawling through product test site pages when I found their email , I wrote to them signalling my interest in product testing the email address is support@voconline.com .I don't know how they choose their candidates to test the products but am assured that everyone will eventually be chosen to product test .

Clixresearch as far as I am aware has nothing to do with Euro clix , they used to be called something else, you can get all types of test products from them , the bonus is that you can add family members , and they get to test products too ( as long as they are over 16 ) there isn't a refferal link but I have pasted the addy for the home page http://www.clixresearch.com/default.aspx?langCode=en-en&randfactor=12036 .At the moment I am testing a few items for them ( can't say exactly what as its against the rules ) but they are from reputable cosmetic manufacturers and a well known skin brand .

Try as well Marspanel.com obviously this is for products from the Mars family , but I haven't actually had a product test from them yet so maybe not so great .

JML direct have a product testing panel just go to their website and enquire as to your suitability using their contact us form .

Brand Institute is another one for product tests , most of them are pretty gender and age specific so I haven't had a lot of tests from them .

While I am here I would like to mention Bzzagent , they are a company that promote products via word of mouth .After you join you get invited to campaigns , this could be for anything from top of the range steam irons to yogurts or petrol stations. If you are chosen for a campaign you are sent a Bzz pack which includes either the items themselves to trail , along with money off vouchers to pass on to friends , Or as in the case of the petrol station campaign £20 of petrol vouchers for yourself and money off per litre coupons .All Bzz ask you to do is spread the word about the products (Bzz) and then enter your report to say how it went .If you write three reports on one Bzz you get a virtual honeycomb , the more campaigns you take part in the higher the level you raise , so for instance you would start as a solitary bee , as you climb higher through the honeycomb you get special status and early invites or golden keys .So the higher you go the more likely you are to be chosen to test .I have been a member since they came to the UK in 2007 and have taken part in many tests .

My Advice to anyone wanting to Test specific products is to write directly to the manufacturers website indicating your interest, ( there is almost always a contact us tab or an email address ) .I recently did this with Dyson and Panasonic and have been placed on the waiting lists for their next inductions .

Wow, Tracey, what a wealth of information....you are an expert on product testing. I am amazed there are so many out there. When I first started doing surveys years ago, I remember Bzzagent....I did join them, but there were problems with the website in the beginning and I am probably not with them anymore, I think perhaps they were not yet in the UK? Thank you again for all the really interesting information. I work full time, though, and maybe I can't test as much as I would like, so would not like to overstretch myself - I will try a few of them and see how I get on. Dyson would be good, I have to say, I would like to try them....my hoover has seen better days!

Its definitely worth a go .Any company that sells products to consumers generally welcomes emails requesting product tests , those that don't already use the facility may change their minds if enough consumers request tests .

I work full time as well LizzieAnn so my product testing is basically just making sure that I remember to fill in the questionnaires on the right dates .I work around them you don't have to be at home when most of the product tests are delivered ( nine times out of ten they come in a white jiffy bag )Clixresearch .

Go back to Bzzagent if you were registered on the site it should still have you as a member , they don't appear to have a six month rule .Since joining them I have had so many different Campaigns its been a pleasure telling other people about it , especially when its a worthwhile product .Last year they had remington wet to straight hair straighteners , a new philips steam iron , a philips seasonal light ,& remington mens electric shaver .They seem to be getting a lot more products to promote this year than ever before , and the products are increasing in value .

Hi Tracey, I tried to sign up with clix but they said I was already with them. I am with Euroclix and Ayton Moon (or was years ago, as I say for cosmetics) and so I have emailed them and await their answer. I tried to sign up with Marspanel and they want a valid zip code and say I have to go to their facility in USA for testing, so perhaps that is country specific. I am in the process of contacting Bzz again to see what is happening there...I remember that from years ago and it had lovely little beehives but I never got any survey invitations from them!!
