LizzieAnn About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous? Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things! By: LizzieAnnDate: 16 Aug 2011 12:44 PM Wow, Tracey, I am very impressed...will have to update mine....maybe I should be aiming for 200 as I have already passed the 100 mark, but yours are great!
006.5 By: 006.5Date: 16 Aug 2011 2:53 PM Your a star Tracey. I know how hard it is to look after people, as I look after both my parents. My father has care assistants twice a day, morning and evening, which takes a lot off my shoulders. You and other care assistants are angels who do not get paid what you are worth.
Cathy By: Cathy Date: 16 Aug 2011 5:02 PM Tracey - Looks like Plugged in people are not recruiting?

Tracey Harman By: Tracey HarmanDate: 17 Aug 2011 11:01 AM The reason I went into care was because ,In 1992 I found out I had cancer I had to have a radical hysterectomy followed by courses of radio therapy and chemo ,I was in a bad way .The nursing staff that looked after me helped in ways I can't articulate with words.1999 my mum died at the age of 49 another victim of cancer again the nursing care staff were brilliant , not only managing her pain but helping the family deal with the loss too. When my kids left home I decided I was going to go to university to get an education as I had left school with only one qualification .I took a course in Health and social care online and also took a job as a care assistant in a local run home where I witnessed cases of adult abuse , needless to say I reported the homes owner to the relevant authorities and lost my job .Being known as a whistle blower in the care industry makes it extremely hard to get another job in any other nursing home as I found out just a few months later .So when I finally got my Degree and decided that it would be beneficial to start my own small business giving care in the community, I do tend to focus on Geriatric care , there are so many that can't afford to pay for care homes, and I know that I can give them the level of care that they deserve. Giving something back no matter how small is an achievement..Sorry bent all your ears :0S
Tracey Harman By: Tracey HarmanDate: 17 Aug 2011 11:04 AM Hi Cathy Sorry I wasn't aware of that ,some of the sites I have named may not have openings , its always best to keep the addresses on file and keep trying though .
006.5 By: 006.5Date: 17 Aug 2011 12:42 PM Tracey, good for you. In my eyes your still a star but shining brighter now, and your worth your weight in gold. You angels are very hard to come buy. My hero.

By: LizzieAnnDate: 17 Aug 2011 9:10 PM Tracey, that is so kind of you to share with us your harrowing experiences and I agree with George, you must have a wonderfully shining halo and you deserve all the extra treats and help you can get. Well done many times over. I have a colleague at work (we are the only two women amongst all salesmen/engineers) and she has just lost her mum to a heart condition/breast cancer only three days ago, and she was 88 years old. But she was told by the social work department that she would have to have a good rest whilst her mum was in hospital as she would not be entitled to a carer as there were other more deserving cases. She works full time and has done all her life and yet she could not get any help. It was a terrible situation. It is sad she has lost her mum, but there must be a great deal of ambiguity in the feeling of being a carer for someone close to you when you know they would be out of pain if they passed away, and at peace, but yet every day you have to look after them and feel their pain because you are close to them. It takes a very special sort of person to be able to do that, and George, you are one of those people, I admire you. Tracey, you are exceptional in my eyes...I doubt if I would have the emotional stamina to be able to do it.

Tracey Harman By: Tracey HarmanDate: 18 Aug 2011 9:33 AM OK LizzieAnn , I know they accept from the UK because I am a member , they should send you the link to the UK signup .Strange that this has changed though .

Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things! By: LizzieAnnDate: 25 Aug 2011 9:04 PM TPoll is not a survey panel in itself, Tracey, but they do surveys for others, so often you get a TPoll survey from, say, Mindmover, as John says, or Knots Club, or SurveyNetwork, just depends who is doing them....I believe many moons ago they might have had their own panel, but not anymore, so you cannot join TPoll as a panelist per se.
Tracey Harman By: Tracey HarmanDate: 26 Aug 2011 9:52 AM Hmmm unsure about that LizzieAnn as on their homepage they are advertising for panelists .I signed up with them last week , the reason I asked is because although I never had a response to my sign up ( a password to get into the site ) yesterday they sent me a 20 minute survey , which I completed ..its all too strange for me , guess I will have to contact them and find out who it was for .
Tracey Harman By: Tracey HarmanDate: 26 Aug 2011 7:10 PM Have just had a mail from them saying that the survey was for my broadband supplier , surprise !!! I took a mindmover survey about sky yesterday for £1.80 .They must pass our details out .No incentive for the 20 minutes ...would have been helpful if they had stated that when they sent the invitation .I would still have taken it , just not wasted my time trying to find out who Tpoll are .
