I had this with opinion world lizzie anne it took me straight to my paypal site, whereupon I had to put my password in. However I noticed it was a locked site, and I was a bit hesitant, in fact I did it on the second attempt and my money went straight into paypal with no problem. I didnt like it at all, but it was a padlocked site, and on my second attempt it went through no problem.

Well, thanks for that Mary, for letting me know it worked OK. After discussion, my husband said OK, go ahead, so we did, then he received his money instantly and went in and changed his password.

If you think about it logically, if all the survey company want to do is verify your paypal account, they could not possibly want to know your password for any reason at all, as they could not use it unless illegally, so changing it should affect nothing at all. Also, if they have verified your paypal account on your first redemption, they should not then need to do this on every other redemption - what is your opinion on this?

quite agree lizzieanne, and I changed my password as soon as I did the transaction too. Its sheer lunacy. I never had this problem regarding paypal with opinion world before, and I cannot see why they are using this method now. I am so glad everything went ok for you. I havent made another redemption with opinion world since, but I did e mail them enquiring about this method, and as yet have had no reply.

They aren't very good at answering emails since the new look site came out .Alarm bells all over hearing that , the only other place I know of where you have to put in your PayPal password is when you are purchasing via ebay .Not sure I would trust OO now .

this sounds very suspect to me ,they should already have your paypal email thats all they need ! steer well clear even at the risk of losing points xxx

aha that has just happened to me on the 3rd I could not redeem my points (kept saying error) then all of a sudden it took me to pay-pal and it had the green lock at the top so I logged in and it was transferred instantly . just checked my pay-pal and everything is fine . if the green lock is at the top you should be OK

In theory, yes, but think about it logically, they have no need of your password, so what harm would it do covmiss just to change your password to be on the safe side? I think they are fairly trustworthy and cannot fault them as they pay instantly when hardly ANY other survey sites do that, so I would stick with them for that reason....but if you have no problem with changing your password, then it shouldn't be an issue. :-)
