By: LizzieAnn Date: 03 Sep 2011 3:01 PM I know we have another thread elsewhere on this subject, but I felt compelled to start a new one. Today I managed to log into the site after four attempts, and completed a survey for 45 mins and 50 points - instant redemption - and when I tried to do so, it took me to my secure paypal site and asked for my password. Warning bells are going off by this time and I had a discussion with my husband and he said No and so I halted the process and asked them the question why? Why is it, when you redeemed on the old site, you simply got paid by paypal and did not have to sign into your paypal account? I do not like that at all, and it is totally unnecessary. I have had a virus or two in the past from survey sites and am on a shared computer with my husband who is highly security conscious and I am always guided by his wisdom on this subject. I will not give out that kind of information to redeem money I have earned. I will let you know what the reply is. |

Mary About me: I love the outdoors and adore outside in the garden. Love cooking for family and friends, and am a very socialble and friendly person. Bit of a talker, your never lonely with me around! Why I like surveys: I love to know that my opinion does count and in some small way helps the products on the market today By: MaryDate: 03 Sep 2011 3:45 PM I had this with opinion world lizzie anne it took me straight to my paypal site, whereupon I had to put my password in. However I noticed it was a locked site, and I was a bit hesitant, in fact I did it on the second attempt and my money went straight into paypal with no problem. I didnt like it at all, but it was a padlocked site, and on my second attempt it went through no problem.
LizzieAnn About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous? Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things! By: LizzieAnnDate: 03 Sep 2011 4:57 PM Well, thanks for that Mary, for letting me know it worked OK. After discussion, my husband said OK, go ahead, so we did, then he received his money instantly and went in and changed his password.

Its sheer lunacy. I never had this problem regarding paypal with opinion world before, and I cannot see why they are using this method now. I am so glad everything went ok for you. I havent made another redemption with opinion world since, but I did e mail them enquiring about this method, and as yet have had no reply.
Tracey Harman By: Tracey HarmanDate: 04 Sep 2011 12:12 PM They aren't very good at answering emails since the new look site came out .Alarm bells all over hearing that , the only other place I know of where you have to put in your PayPal password is when you are purchasing via ebay .Not sure I would trust OO now .

covmiss Why I like surveys: i like surveys because i get to have an opinion and make a little extra cash By: covmissDate: 04 Sep 2011 3:15 PM aha that has just happened to me on the 3rd I could not redeem my points (kept saying error) then all of a sudden it took me to pay-pal and it had the green lock at the top so I logged in and it was transferred instantly . just checked my pay-pal and everything is fine . if the green lock is at the top you should be OK

By: LizzieAnnDate: 04 Sep 2011 3:39 PM In theory, yes, but think about it logically, they have no need of your password, so what harm would it do covmiss just to change your password to be on the safe side? I think they are fairly trustworthy and cannot fault them as they pay instantly when hardly ANY other survey sites do that, so I would stick with them for that reason....but if you have no problem with changing your password, then it shouldn't be an issue. :-)
