By: Jilly101 Date: 26 Sep 2011 7:34 PM I know that some people have had trouble claiming rewards from Elite Shopping/Rewarded Opinions but just posting to let you know that I received a cheque from Elite Shopping Forum today for £60 for my participation in an online focus group a few weeks ago. There is a funny story attached in that when they put the points in my account they made a mistake and gave me 60000 points instead of 6000. As all survey sites have different values for redemption (i.e 1000 points gets you $50 from Global Opinion Panel whereas 9000 points is only worth £5 from Synovate etc.) I didn't notice and just put in a claim for the 60000 (I had another 1500 but thought I would leave them to mount up for another time). I received an e-mail saying they would process my claim but then a few days later got another message admitting that I should only have been given 6000. What a pity, 60000 points would have been £600 which would have been really handy for Christmas, lol |

LizzieAnn About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous? Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things! By: LizzieAnnDate: 27 Sep 2011 12:21 PM I got a very quick payment from them for an online insurance discussion forum I did a while back, £20 into my account and the cheque was received quickly too. However, I then was given an extra 2000 points which they did not notice and redeemed just as you did, about a year later, and they redeemed this to paypal not having noticed the error...I thought they were just being generous or there was a misprint in the survey as I think I should have got 200 points...I also, just before Christmas had a windfall from another panel and they awarded me £75 worth of global gift certificates. I wonder how often this happens and how many panels notice, and how many panelists own up or just treat it as good fortune...it certainly seems like some sort of compensation for all the problems and difficulties and lack of timely payments from other panels, doesn't it?
Tracey Harman By: Tracey HarmanDate: 27 Sep 2011 3:07 PM Just imagine walking past the cash machine and it spitting £200 at you , what would you do go into the bank and say you'd found it , pocket it without a thought .Spend it straight away ? I took it back into the bank ...and deposited it into my account
kat By: katDate: 27 Sep 2011 8:01 PM Yes, I hand back change if I am given too much. I have returned money left in a cash machine to the bank, £200. If I hadn't the person who left it behind would have been the loser, as the bank wouldn't compensate their loss. The machines suck the cash back in after a short time anyway.

By: LizzieAnnDate: 27 Sep 2011 8:59 PM The same thing happened to my father-in-law....he recently suffered a heart attack and was feeling unwell and he thought he had picked up the £100 from the cash machine but he had not and the bank had to wait until the transaction turned up on his account...but the machine had sucked it back in again and he got it OK.
