I've lost count Lizzie .I've been a member for about 8 years now so when the focus group ones come up I just grab them .

I love Valued Opinions. I've only been a member for a couple of months and I've managed to make 2 x £10 cash outs - both paper vouchers which arrived within a few days of ordering. Can't fault them, unlike Toluna who never seem to pay.

Glad they are quick payers, shame they take so long to add your rewards to your total !!

Another company who pay very quickly but hardly ever get mentioned by anyone is MYVOICE - they are so fast, you hardly have to wait for the redemption button to come up....their paper vouchers arrive within three days of cashing out....also Engage Panel, both of whom are faster than a speeding bullet. I reckon we should take advantage of that speed by joining up and referring wherever possible to give them plenty of business. Anyone looking for referrals for either?! ;)

I love valued opinions, I have been with them a longtime. Focus Groups - What do you have to do in them? I have always turned them down lol

I only go for the online ones , basically all it is is discussing products , how you think they could be improved , what you like or not ..usually they take between 20 minutes and 2 hours , but its worth it .It's a bit like the YSP forum , you get to talk to other consumers too .

Ooh, Cathy, you naughty person....NEVER turn down a focus group - not only do they pay better but they are the best fun ever!!

An average one goes something like this....

You receive a link about a day or a few days before the focus group is due to start and that link takes you into the group when you are scheduled to be there....say 8pm on a certain date....then you turn up about half an hour before, sign in and introduce yourself....then there is a moderator, and mostly about five or so different participants and they all have different colours, so they are colour coded for ease of reference and so you know who is speaking...then the moderator poses questions or pictures on the subject and you are all asked to complete various tasks or say what you think or answer questions....and this goes on, as Tracey says, for about 20 minutes to 2 hours....and then you sign out and receive your incentive shortly thereafter.....you can receive between £10 and £150 for these....what has been your highest paying one to date and for which company, Tracey?

Mine was a £30 one for Consumer Voice and was all about advertising for the charity MIND and I took part for just one hour, with five other colour-coded people from all walks of life...a lorry driver from Birmingham, a care worker from Manchester...you name it....then a follow-up phone call and a cheque for £30 within three days!! Can't be bad!!

Good stuff, Tracey, I was invited to that one, but not chosen. That was a goodly amount!! Aren't men fond of their Amazons, though, that could be misinterpreted....like pets, you know....but then again, there were a race of mythical women called Amazons built like lady Tarzans....so maybe the site is aptly named!!
