I signed up with these john and it said they will be in touch to have a chat with me? I never give my proper phone number in case they are not legit until i hear different. Have they contacted you to confirm your interest? Sorry but i find it a bit odd.

Serena, never put in an incorrect phone number as you could be disqualified from a panel for that. They are very wary of people signing up for multiple accounts and giving incorrect information. Just leave it blank, if you can.

They were very fast to confirm my sign up Lizzie , I'll have a better idea when I can actually get further into the site .You have to wait for them to get back in contact first .It's not a problem with the Phone number as long as they don't call after 19:30.

Do you mean they actually physically phone you up to chat to you to confirm your signu-up? My alarm bells are going off now.....this is odd, and has NEVER happened to me....watch out, you guys.....and keep me posted, please.

They never phoned me up

I simply put a different digit in on one number when i have no idea about a company. I personally do not want a company i have never heard of ringing me up, I always give correct name address e-mail ect. I feel phone calls are an invasion of my privacy as an online user, and i do not know if they would or would not pass my number on to other people/companies, if i know nothing about them, how could i know? With companies, like say, all the ones we use on here, i always put my correct phone number and details. I also felt alarm bells when i was not offered the option of, would i mind receiving a phone call. I have also experienced being pestered by pain in the bum salesmen and companies before after giving my number to one company online i did not know, and frankly i found it very stressful/annoying!! I would not wish this on anyone, through them i also had my e-bay account suspended and then they suspended my step sons and neither of us had done anything wrong at all!! Its a long story, i wont go-on but e-bay are awful in my personal experience, and they have never reinstated my account since feb this year, or even acknowledged information i have given them in connection with my reasons for them suspending my account, and yes, i did everything they asked me to do, but it is like talking to yourself !!

Poor Serena, you have had a time of it. I do understand your reluctance, and I have to say I do find scam phone calls really annoying although to be fair they don't happen to me much as I am out at work all day - but my husband just blows raspberries down the phone at people.

That was an awful experience you had with E-bay but there are lots of dodgy characters around. My husband has been with E-bay for years now and he sometimes has problems but has lots of patience and has managed to solve them. It is difficult though as online things are so impersonal, anyone can say anything and who is there to check things up?!

Totally agree Lizzie, but in contrast, Amazon are wonderful, i ordered a cd karate kid through one of their sellers, when it did not arrive within delivery limit and no reply from said seller, i told amazon direct, and they did no more than personally credit £7.25 back into my account, could not believe it, after all the hassle with e-bay, wonderful company in my opinion with real people running it !!

I feel i must add that i have never been so badly treated by a company in my life than e-bay, i felt very repulsed by their company, especially as my step son who does in fact have autism, and dyspraxia, ordered a wrestling belt from a seller the day before they suspended his account for no reason, this payment left his account and he sent proof to them he had paid for this, and we contacted the seller twice with nothing, and to this day he has never received his belt, or an apology, or refund offer and the price....£50.00!!
He loves wrestling, and my son, they have seen the live show at Birmingham, shook hands with John Cena and Triple H loved it!!

I have just had a call from consumer analysis , the reason they are now calling all prospective members is to ensure people actually exist .The girl I spoke to was very nice .Here's hoping this will be a good one .

I am very impressed with this trend at trying to get a really good connection with the panellists. Wow....impressive. Good for you Tracey, here's hoping this is a good one....maybe when I am on holiday in October I will join then leave my number....I am not at home much otherwise, as I work full-time.

I had a call from them today, i must have given my correct number after all?? They just asked me to confirm my e-mail and which is the nearest city i live, no real personal questions.
They said they send an e-mail to me shortly, and to look out for it, that was about lunchtime today, nothing yet.

Good stuff, Serena, do give us a run down of any surveys you get, in terms of if they seem easy, hard, good incentives, etc.

By the way how is our Survey Watchdog idea coming along, YSP?!

They said the same to me Serena I was told to expect an email with the sign up questionnaire at 5o'clock but nothing came in yesterday .

I wrote to them this morning and was told they had sent me the registration questionnaire twice it must be in my spam .I replied that if that was the case Why was I receiving their replies ? the emails are supposed to be coming from the same address , they asked for a different email address and I gave them two they said again I would get my questionnaire by 5 pm ...its 6:40 and still nothing .I don't trust this company !!!
