By: KatieN Date: 19 Oct 2011 11:18 AM Hi everyone, if you are NOT already a member of Kantar Worldpanel panels such as ShopandScan, National Shopping Monitor and Consumer Pulse, and if you DO live in Yorkshire, I have been invited by the Yorkshire Panel to refer two new members. If you would like me to refer you (as nobody in my immediate circle is interested) please ask Kay to pass on your email address to me. |

crusty About me: I am 62, retired and have never married. I live in a little cottage in the Yorkshire Dales with my presant cat Sarah. Why I like surveys: Apart from my relatives considering me to be an opinionated old whatsit, they give something to do and the cash helps with the cat treats. By: crustyDate: 19 Oct 2011 12:26 PM Kantar! who ? what? never heard of them. Years ago like 10years I use to have a scanner for TNS (taylor nelson sofrees or something like that)but returneed it has they started to muck me about.I might be interested if I knew more and I live in North Yorkshire
LizzieAnn About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous? Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things! By: LizzieAnnDate: 19 Oct 2011 1:40 PM Yes, Keith, TNS have changed their name to Kantar Worldpanel and also do Mysurvey.com. They are huge and often do product tests and the family food diary I do regularly too on paper and receive vouchers for.

Since I live alone I do my own shopping and cooking and bake my own bread but I hate housework!

By: LizzieAnnDate: 19 Oct 2011 4:00 PM Baking your own bread is great Keith, do you do it with or without a breadmaker? I used to love making soda bread years ago when we were very poor and the children were young....we got a kick out of eating it fresh out of the oven when there was no bread in the house and of course, you don't need yeast for that either, do you?! I loved making peppermint creams too, just a bit of icing sugar and some peppermint essence and a cookie cutter...great fun for little children too as you can make some great shapes then dip them in chocolate!

By: crustyDate: 19 Oct 2011 7:42 PM I use a machine and I use Wessex Mills flour. I have tried using the cooker but I normally end up with burnt offerings as i can never figure out the timings as its a fan assisted oven but I sure if I keep trying I'll eventually get it right. As for cooking larger meals I have always done this especially with spag bol as I think it tastes nicer the longer its been made.
