By: serena Date: 20 Oct 2011 4:42 PM We had our cavity wall insulation done for free a few years ago when we were on benefits for a while, it has made a difference and you can get grants for cavity wall and loft insulation if you dont qualify for free, up to 70% off, so it may be worth inquiring if you are on a pension, benefits, low income, disibility, as you could get it all for free if you own your home. |

crusty About me: I am 62, retired and have never married. I live in a little cottage in the Yorkshire Dales with my presant cat Sarah. Why I like surveys: Apart from my relatives considering me to be an opinionated old whatsit, they give something to do and the cash helps with the cat treats. By: crustyDate: 21 Oct 2011 5:10 PM well I tried the site and it says that my walls are solid so I can't have it done but although my cottage is pre 1924 and stone built I know it has cavity walls!!!
briskem1 About me: I'm a cat ! Why I like surveys: if i win my slave can buy me tuna! By: briskem1Date: 21 Oct 2011 5:40 PM hi Keith we are the same, but because we have two layers of solid stone it does not constitute 'cavity' walls .
