I'm bored so I've decided to start a new topic.

Has anyone ever entered TV Competitions - for instance Loose Women, Xfactor, those type of comps..... and if you ever have, did you win???
Do you know anyone who has won?

Did you ever enter those stupid/rip off ITV quiz/comps late at night a few years ago.... when they had to stop because they were ripping people off?

I remember one competition once RED _____
So, everybody ringing in said RED Hair, RED Sun, RED white and blue, Red etc..... and the real answers were unbelievable... RED SPOTTED LONG HAIR SPIDER, RED HEADED SHORT HAIR CUT....

Bah!!!!

Also did any body ever get a refund...

About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous?
Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things!

I spent years entering all sorts of competitions, but never did any radio or TV ones, although I was really quite lucky with slogan ones...I won £500 on a slogan competition with Contact Lenses (I picked up the entry form whilst waiting for an optician's appointment) then £1000 worth of Kingfisher vouchers for a slogan competition to name an international pizza!! I won £25 Marks & Spencer vouchers in an online slogan competition, and a brand new surround sound Stereo in a Weetabix slogan competition. I also won a calligraphy set, an Italian hamper from Safeway, and even a cuddly toy....an Andrex puppy by guessing where the treasure was hidden on Andrex treasure island by putting my X in the right spot!! Not bad, but they don't tend to do slogans much anymore....

.....Ruth, except the one on Grapevine....are you trying that one? I don't know anything about Fosters, so don't know where to start.....but I was chosen for the Mystery shop and received my £10 worth of Sainsbury's vouchers on Friday to buy a bottle of low alcohol wine, which I duly did.....what about you, Baggy, were you chosen, hic??!! :)

Hi Lizzie - no I wasn't chosen for the mystery shop but I was chosen for a discussion about Moscato wine - (not got a clue?) - again for £10 sainsburys voucher.
Yeah I agree Lizzie about the slogan - a bit difficult.....
Well done on all your wins - I think your missing your calling card - you need to try a get a new job/role in one of the big advertising companies.... Satchi and Satchi are you listening.....

Yes I remember those late night ITV quiz/comps Ruth. I used to look after a lady that stayed up late every night just in the hope of getting through. She ended up with a massive phone bill and never won anything. They were such a rip off weren't they. x

Hey, Ruth, thanks....if you ever need a slogan, just give me a call!! Have you ever seen the film How to Get Ahead In Advertising? Hilarious satire with Richard E Grant....brilliant!
