I received a lovely sympathy card from my vets after having to put my 3 year old cat Ashley to sleep last tuesday. Made me cry today thought this was very thoughtful. Miss my Ashley loads, but he was in so much pain in the end :( So a big praise to my local vets for doing their best for my Ashley & sending me a card.

Aw, poor Shelly. I know how you feel, I had to have two of my cats, Albert and Tigger put to sleep over the last few years, and you never really get over it, but I do think that is a very wonderful and moving thing for your Vet to do, I have never heard of that at all, amazing in this day and age.

Poor Ashley, I hope you do get over it, because only time helps. Do you have other cats? I find it was hardest to explain the death of my other two to my remaining one, he just did not understand. Very sad. :(

Thank you LizzieAnn,sorry to hear the loss off your Albert & Tigger. I still have 3 cats Buster, Gizmo & lara they help keep me strong. I dread the day when i'm only left with one of them that would break my heart, as it Buster & Gizmo have been looking for Ashley. :(

Its good to know that there are still vets out there that understand the pain losing a loved animal causes .Pity there aren't any this end of the country .
