Am already a member of this panel (along with others on here, Lizzie for one am sure) and was surprised to get the following link in an e-mail from free-samples.co.uk -


"Enjoy food? An amazing chance to get rewarded for giving your opinions about food. Please Note that they are fast approaching new members limit.

All they ask is that you complete one quick 12 minute online survey and for your time you will get a £20 reward. Once you have finished the online survey you will be redirected to a reward site, an account will be created for you and £20 instantly credited into your account."


When you click on the link it directs you to Talking Food where the sign-up only asks for your details 'to send you any prizes you may win' - so what's with the £20 reward mentioned.

There is also a link on the OfferOasis.co.uk page which says 'get PAID and win prizes when you join Talking Food !!!!

As far as I remember I joined through Toluna with some value promise of Toluna points being awarded for regular participation but maybe that is just wishful thinking and I dont recall getting any other incentive.

Anyhow was just thinking, instead of drawing new members in with the lure of £20 maybe they could think about incentives for current members other than the chance in the prize draw !!!

I believe there was some talk of maybe giving individual incentives, Jilly, at some point in the future? :)

They aren't giving incentives .I wrote to them yesterday to query the mail I had received from free Stuff this is the reply I got ..

I have had a look at the site and can confirm that we have absolutely no affiliation with this website (free-stuff) so whatever they have been telling you is extremely misleading and factually incorrect. Our terms and conditions on the site clearly do not state this anywhere so we have no idea where they have got the idea that there is a £20 reward for completing a survey and we will be contacting them to ask them where they have got this information from.

Just to confirm, we hold monthly prize draws where on alternating months either 1 person will win £100 or 4 people will win £50 as per our terms and conditions outlined below:

11. Prizes: Prizes are awarded each month and the format alternates on a monthly basis. These are:

· 1 x prize = £100
· 4 x prizes = £50 each

Prizes will be supplied to winners in the form of a cheque. Cheques will be written out to winners using the names and details the user supplied when they registered on this website.

Nice that they have cleared that up Tracey, I thought it didn't sound quite right but I bet some folk got lured in by the promise of £20 and will not be happy.
