Demographics

I beleive that demographic screening should be accomplished after a maximum of 5 questions.Yesterday I completed 75-80% of 2 surveys from 2 different survey sites and was then screened out due to demographics. This is not right, not professional and not fair.

John this is a sore subject with every survey taker. Some sites are terrible for screening you out after such a lot of input. I had a theory months ago and posted on this forum. I think that these certain few companies have no intention of paying you and deliberately screen you out after so much data has been given as they have all what they wanted. Am I cynical, or am I on the button!

Probably George!
I think we all should e-mail sites more to provide input on how they run, im sure they would appreciate a little feed back now and again.

I agree with George that some sites are bad for screening you out, but did you actually get chucked out due to demographics, John, did the message tell you that? Because, usually what happens is that they have a required number of "completes" and when they reach it the survey automatically cuts out for EVERYONE no matter if you are 99% of the way through, that IS IT!! It happened to me a little while ago on OnePoll, very annoying, but it is not due to demographics, because if it was, you would be chucked out much sooner, because you lived in say, England, instead of Ireland. Demographics are simply the personal set of circumstances which pertain to you and the survey panel is looking for say 100 people who live in Ireland and have a mother in law living with them, for example. Do you see the difference? :)

No it was demographics.I sometimes get screened out when the number is met, which I accept as tough luck but screening out at 75-80% for demographics is a disgrace.
