LizzieAnn About me: I love surveys! You can't tell from reading any of my posts, though, can you?! I am a full time worker with two children and a full time house husband, are you jealous? Why I like surveys: They are fun, interesting and lucrative, not to mention the fact that they can lead to amazing things! By: LizzieAnnDate: 04 Nov 2011 12:26 PM Thank you Tracey. We all need to remember not just once each year.
Ros By: RosDate: 04 Nov 2011 12:41 PM Really touching Tracey.
serena About me: I am a housewife currently, and my husband and 2 adult sons work full time, so i look after the house and finances. Why I like surveys: I enjoy giving my opinion and earning a little extra to help out with the shopping now and again and it keeps me occupied. By: serenaDate: 04 Nov 2011 1:52 PM That,s lovely x
Tracey Harman By: Tracey HarmanDate: 04 Nov 2011 2:02 PM This was the content of an email sent to me by a serving British sailor, my nephew is out in Afghanistan fighting at the moment.I decided to put it up here because I know there will be many like minded people who will NEVER forget.I was gutted to learn that the Royal British Legion are thinking of Stopping the poppy appeal , (because it offends certain groups in our society) and the government say that it isn't as relevant today. For me the amount of young lads being killed in wars fighting for the freedom and rights of others it Is Always and Will Always be relevant to remember them .

John Fitch By: John FitchDate: 04 Nov 2011 7:17 PM Although the poppy was of course associated with the Flanders fields of World War 1 , it has now become a symbol of rememberence for all wars from World War 1 onwards, whether it be the 10s of thousands killed in that conflict, or world war 2 , or the hundreds killed in the Falklands, or the hundreds killed and still being killed in Afganistan.Lose th poppy as our symbol of rememberence and you may well lose the rememberence also.Just because there are no more living World War 1 veterens alive does not alter the relevance. If people are offended then tough!
Ros By: RosDate: 04 Nov 2011 7:39 PM DISGUSTING if taken away as still very relevant.

Baggy By: BaggyDate: 06 Nov 2011 1:19 PM Well done Tracey, as someone who has done military service, I would like to take some very firm action against those who decry the poppy appeal, they just disgust me! Give your nephew my Best Wishes and I hope he will return safely to his family!

By: LizzieAnnDate: 06 Nov 2011 3:04 PM I hope your nephew comes home safe and sound and I think the poppy will never die but live on in all people's hearts no matter if it is officially taken away, although how anyone can suggest it gives offence is beyond me. Is it related to opium perhaps?!!!
