MyVoice

I hate moaning about a survey company I really like.....

You know that feeling you sometimes get in your gut? The one that tells you that something isn't 'right'? Well, I have that feeling today, and I hope that someone here might restore my good faith.

A little while ago I cashed out with MyVoice; as we are doing a lot of decorating in our house at the moment, I opted for the £20 B&Q voucher (MyVoice certainly have the most impressive list of retailers!) which I received only 6 days after redemption.

The voucher is a gift card, rather than a paper voucher, and you can put money onto the card as well as spend it. However, after trotting down to B&Q to buy some more paint, I was really embarrassed at the till when told there was nothing on the card! I immediately emailed support @ MyVoice and received an assurance that it was being 'looked into'....However, that was 10 days ago, and despite making a polite enquiry yesterday, I've heard absolutely nothing since last week.

I'm beginning to feel a bad vibe about this and I wondered whether anyone here had had a similar experience with MyVoice. The thing is, of all of the survey companies I'm with, I've always thought of MyVoice as very warm and friendly, and not a company that would give you the run around, so to speak. I'm trying to tell myself that it will all be sorted out and to just have patience...But I do have that funny feeling in my gut that I've been scammed in some way...

Does anyone have the telephone number for MyVoice? There's no number on the website.

What should I do next?

Thanks John, I will. I don't want to feel negatively towards MyVoice as I have said, but I feel I've waited too long now.

Oh I hope that doesn't happen to you Ruth! I'm hoping that this is just a mere blip in my case, and that they will sort it out, but I feel it's taking an awful long time. I offered to send the card back to them so that they could check it out for themselves, but they don't seem interested at all. :-((

I've had loads of Sainsbury's vouchers from them - no problem, I am sure it is just a "mistake", especially hoping so otherwise poor Ruth is not going to have a great Xmas ;)

Now, who was it told me exactly the same story recently?? I can't remember, but they did say this happened to them and they instantly had it cleared up by Myvoice.

I absolutely love them! Phone them, Suthers, and get hold of Dave Waddell (who is a darling by the way and very very helpful) on 08700 427 427 as he is one of the company directors. The company was basically started in 2004 and he has been instrumental in taking it from strength to strength. They are registered with Companies House and very strong financially according to recent tax returns lodged the most recent being in August 2011 (we can look up this information online).

However, and I do say this hesitatingly, there may be a bad apple in the barrel. Recently they sent out a spate of surveys to longstanding panel members (such as lil ol me - and you probably got one too, you guys!) asking them if they wanted to remain on the panel and if they still were successfully receiving email invitations from Myvoice. It was short and sweet, the survey, but the funny thing is that I have not received an email invitation from them for years now, at least two, and I told them this, but nothing has been done about it. I just always log into the site and take part in surveys that way, the most recent one about a week ago.

I think they are still the warmest and friendliest panel around apart from good old YSP of course!!

Ruthie, ooh, I hope everything is OK - do give them a call and find out before Christmas!!

Thank you for all of that information, Lizzie; I'm going to phone them today, and I'll let you know what happens. I'm still reasonably positive that it's a mere blip (these things happen) but it's the length of time that I've been waiting, together with a lack of any communication as to 'what happens next' that's making me smell a rat!

I've only been with them since July this year, so I guess I probably didn't qualify for the survey to longstanding members. I really like MyVoice, and I hope everything works out in the end.

Thanks again, Lizzie. It's Katie, by the way - I think I'll see if I can change my username on here. :-))

Well, maybe someone is reading these boards.....I emailed MyVoice again this morning and, at last, I have received a satisfactory response:

"Hi Katie,

I am sorry for the delay in replying to your queries about the B&Q card. We have checked them and it appears they have not loaded correctly. Replacements have been sent to you by Recorded Delivery yesterday. Please note that a signature will be required. We have asked you to return the original vouchers received in a stamped addressed envelope provided so we can check them.

Kind Regards,
Ani"

All's well that ends well....

That is a result Katie, well done!! I do apologise, Katie, I got muddled up between your username and your real name....I think I replied to a message you left me on IYO and thought you were someone else...I am getting old and forgetful...but all these username/real names are very confusing!! Sorry!! I am so glad they have really pulled out all the stops and done you proud sending it out by recorded delivery and asking for the old one back, that is great.

Ruth, now you check too, and make sure you can get it sorted as well! :)

Thanks Lizzie. No worries about the username thing - when I started doing surveys I had no idea I would be a member of so many, hence my lack of using a univeral login!! I've attempted to change my username here to 'Katie', but it doesn't seem to have worked. :-((

I'm 'working from home' today ;-) and keeping my eyes peeled for the postman - I'll make an announcement once I've received my new voucher, lol.

I am happy to report that I have just received my new B&Q voucher for £20 with a request to return the blank one. I'm so pleased that MyVoice have lived up to the nice, warm, fuzzy feeling I had about them :)

Ruth, I hope your voucher works out ok too.
