I'm a little bit concerned with this survey site.
First of all has anybody ever won anything on it.....
Secondly I keep getting ask to do surveys with regards to insurances.. what I've noticed that once I've taken these surveys I start to get emails from insurance companies within my inbox.
Thirdly I had an email a few days ago requesting a dead inbox.... and I would be rewarded with £5........

Interested to know your thoughts, as I can think of a few words at the mo that I'd better not publish....

Its not a site that I am aware of but from what you say they seem to be using survey takers as bait for marketing purposes.payment for a dead inbox sounds relly iffy.Need to know if anyone has got to redemption, but it sounds a scam to me.I might join just to have a closer look.

The dead letterbox which I assume will be via inbox is one to steer clear of.I imagine that lots of e mails will come your way where the survey site will receive referral or click for cash payments. There are sure to be loads of them so that the survey site can at least recoup the £5 they are paying out.
Dead letterbox, also known as dead drop is an incorrect term as this refers to the methodology by which spies passed information.

Now that is curious, John, can you explain further? I have never come across this ever and it intrigues me...what does it mean exactly and what did they ask you to do Ruth? I am off to have a look. :(

This bit worried me -

Some of the work that we carry out involves Consumer Intelligence needing to provide real names and addresses to insurance companies in order to get insurance quotes. If you are selected, you will earn £5.00 for letting us use your address for Mystery Shopping. You will receive no phone calls or emails from companies, no personal visits and, theoretically no mail. If you do get mail, just throw it in the bin!

but I am not quite sure what it means really, because they say you will get no mail then if you do throw it in the bin!! Odd conflict there...:(

The other thing which worried me is that there are three quotes on the site from people who are saying thank you for a win or a cheque and they are all dated 2010.....could they not have some more up to date testimonials on there or is this when things started to go pear-shaped. I do think on the SURFACE they seem legit, but there is a little warning bell going off, and I am not getting that tingling feeling I get when I get onto a good thing!! (so to speak!) :( I would proceed with caution. I am with three mystery shopping sites and they all ask you to complete tests prior to being accepted for things like observation and spelling and professionalism, but I don't see anything like that there....:(

I was with MyConsumerIntel. You are entered into a prize draw after each survey. The prizes are usually around £5-£7.50. Yes I did receive £5 after a year or so. They are waste of time as far as I am concerned. By the way I never opted for dead mail box. Not worth the hassle .
