Just received this mail from DBS Patient solutions..

Dear Panel Member,

We are looking for people who have been diagnosed, or who care for someone that has been diagnosed with one of the following eye conditions…

· wAMD - wet Age-related Macular Degeneration

· DME - Diabetic Macular Edema

· CRVO - Central Retinal Vein Occlusion


The individual interviews will take place in an interviewing studio in Central London, 3 minutes from Oxford Circus tube station and lasts for 60 minutes. We are offering £60.00 cash for successful completion of the face-to-face interview.

On this occasion, we are asking all our members if they know anyone that would be suitable for this interview and would be able to go to the studio in London.

...eeeeeuch, that first one WET age-related macular degeneration....sounds particularly disgusting.....ooh, no, I would not like to have that!! :( poor anyone who has! :(

Tracey It would have been great to do the Diabetic one, but, why oh why, do they have to do all these studies in London. Do they not realise that people outside of London have health issues and do not want to travel that far, plus it would cost me £62 return fare to London thus making a loss. Thanks for the thought though Tracey

I know the feeling George :O its strange that these companies believe London is the centre of the universe..someone should write to them and let them know they are missing out on participants because of the geographical ( Blimey that was a long word )limits of their forums .:D

Ive given up on these focus groups because of it i live zillions of miles away from london and i never get picked for the online ones =(

aw,don't despair spidey...they often have telephone ones or online diary ones which you do not have to attend personally and I hopefully will be doing a flip-cam one with £20 attached to it and they send me the flip-cam (which I will probably break!!!)
