OpinionOutPost Shame!

I'm really fuming with Opinionoutpost, i went to do a survey today for 20 points for 20mins. I had to install software called zoom in to do the survey, then had to do tasks on a website called Camper in SPANISH! So i spent 20 mins doing the survey (trying anyway) to then be booted out without the 20 points reward & the software still installed in my computer! Never had problems with opinionoutpost before but i think this was appalling today. I sent them a email, will wait to see what happens next. Just heads up to if anyone gets this survey be careful.

Well done for complaining,Shelly, that is appalling. Let us know how you get on. I make it a rule NEVER to do any survey involving installing anything on my PC, then I am never in trouble...up until now, anyway! :) Good luck, girl. :)

I did the same survey but i didn't make it in time and got deactivated out of the survey, i still have the software on my PC, the same surveys appear on opinionworld, which is my main site for SSI surveys, but i am thinking of switching to opinionoutpost as they offer a lower redemption.

I never download any survey software either, especially software that monitors which websites you visit. How embarrassing would it be if they discovered I visited Mumsnet!

I would advise anyone to avoid loading any software on to your computer as it could be up to anything. Most good virus checkers and firewalls will advise you of any software trying to take up residence on your computer and it is not safe to ignore their advice. There are plenty of surveys that do not require this so avoid those that do.

Good result Shelly! Well done. Easy to uninstall software is good....that hopefully means no real damage was done - but I would advise as would Baggy I am sure that you should do a thorough virus check scan to make sure just in case? Baggy, boy, over to you??? :)

Thank you Lizzie, think i will do a scan later. Trust me i won't be doing that again, as isn't worth it for a few points!
