A few months ago I took part in some research (via One Poll) about cat nutrition; they were interested in the way people feed their cats, how playful their cats are, and any funny or interesting stories that people have to tell.

They are looking to build an informative article, and they are targeting regional and national press! However, they are still looking for contributions from cat owners, so I said I would ask the cat-bonkers folk here if they would like to get involved. I've cut and paste what they've sent me in an email, and the details are there - email, phone, and the name of the research company. I've already had a big bag of the food (Nutri-Cat) for the work I put in, and both my cats loved it. Details are as follows:

"We're working on a media story about 'how cats are human too'! It's to tie in with a report we've commissioned with The Feline Advisory Bureau about the nation's cat health.

We conducted a survey of over 1000 cat owners and found that a third of cat owners think their cat is a better listener than their partner, half of cat owners think their cat shares similar emotions to them and 40% of cat owners sign Christmas cards from their cats.

I thought you might have an interesting story to tell since you're a fellow member of Cat Planet!

To strengthen the story we're looking for cats that act like humans and all the funny human like things that they do. Stories that we've received so far include, a singing cat, a cat who sits at the dinner table and eats his own plate of food, a cat that flosses its teeth, a cat that loves Brussels Sprouts at Christmas!

There is a prize for all the lucky cats whose story we use - a £12 bag of NutriCat, a Catit treat ball and a cat water fountain.
