The best service I've had was a small café in Lancashire, while on holiday.
My wife spotted the fact that they had started the process of making my sandwich and were using Olivio olive oil spread. I'm allergic to olives and my wife had to ask them to forget the sandwich. Rather than do so, they got some other spread specially! Not one complaint from them and a "thank you" for pointing out a need to be careful about what they used.
More cafés could do with being clear as to what they use in their foodstuffs.
