The good and the bad...

9:38am 15th Mar 2010

Good:

Asda- I was over charged on a product at the till point, i hadn’t realised until i left the shop and when i next went shopping i pointed it out and they refunded me the difference and gave me the total amount for the product i had purchased on an Asda gift card as a good will gesture.

Boots- I was browsing in the make up department and advisor asked if i needed anything and advised me on what best suited my skin type and pointed out what deals were on. I felt very pleased with the service and i hadn't intended to buy anything as i was just looking, but after taking the consultants advice i felt relaxed enough to purchase all new cosmetics.

Bad:

JJB Sports shop - My daughter wanted to same trainers as me and as she was only 3yrs old, this would be a difficult challenge. However i notice that the shop in question had them online in the sale but were of stock. They said that Ipswich had them so i could either ring them or go into the Bury branch and pay and they would arrange them to be delivered here for me, which sounded lovely.

I went in to the Bury branch and explain to the advisor and she said “You will have to ask someone else, I’m on lunch and I’m not working through they can think again”.

I was a little shocked as i had never meet the girl and there was only me and my 3 year old stood there! She could have only been talking to us and it was far too loud for it to an under-the-breath comment to herself. I found the manager and asked her about the trainers, she replied that she’s get someone for me. I felt like i was been passed from pillar to post and we left the shop without the trainers and i have never brought anything from their since. My husband and son both play football and that’s where we would normally purchase their equipment from on a regular basis, but now we go else where.
