Not all Bankers!

Now I know some of you will have had different experiences but i wanted to talk about a positve experience I had today. I am not too sure whether my bank has had a radical change of heart in how it deals with its customers because to be honest the last 25 years that I have banked with them has been well mostly non eventful.

I have had problems with Paypal getting MY money so I thought id ask my bank if I could open another account so I could get the money (anyone who has had the displeasure of dealing with Paypal will know how pedantic and inflexible they are) from my 'other' paypal account.

I explained to the bank clerk my needs and he went off to explain to his manager what I had expalined to him. I braced myself thinking id have to explain again what I wanted but no - shock horror - he had managed to empathise with me but also communicated my needs well enough that literally within minutes they had opened another account so I could do what I needed to do.

So well done those two people in the bank who not only listened but solved my problem - you see it can be done when people listen and want to truly help not because they are told to but becasue they want to.

Just shows that in any industry its not the business you deal with but how the business deals with you!

Maybe the wheel of change is finally moving.

Business's can have as many Mission Statements, Policies, Vision Statements, and flashy slogans as they want but when it comes down to it, its the employees that make or break a business.

Spin and gimmicks are now outdated !

Glad to see you got your new bank account and are a satisifed customer.

Nice one for joe public and nice one for you.

One thing i will agree with you on is the inflexability of PayPal.

Never have i dealt with such an unfeeling company as them.

Not only does it take ages to get to speak to an advisor, but when you do they take for ever to answer your questions or get anything done. So much so i am surprised no one has tried to form another type of PayPal.

Good luck with PP in the future and your new account.

Banks are only interested in helping themselves, of course they will open another account for you, it means more fees going to them. I deal with PayPal quite frequently and I can not agree with the earlier comments as I have never had any trouble with PayPal and that includes refunds where appropriate with the minimum of fuss. There are alternatives to PayPal but none that perform so well and so securely.
