Good:
Asda- I was over charged on a product at the till point, i hadn’t realised until i left the shop and when i next went shopping i pointed it out and they refunded me the difference and gave me the total amount for the product i had purchased on an Asda gift card as a good will gesture.
Boots- I was browsing in the make up department and advisor asked if i needed anything and advised me on what best suited my skin type and pointed out what deals were on. I felt very pleased with the service and i hadn't intended to buy anything as i was just looking, but after taking the consultants advice i felt relaxed enough to purchase all new cosmetics.
Bad:
JJB Sports shop - My daughter wanted to same trainers as me and as she was only 3yrs old, this would be a difficult challenge. However i notice that the shop in question had them online in the sale but were of stock. They said that Ipswich had them so i could either ring them or go into the Bury branch and pay and they would arrange them to be delivered here for me, which sounded lovely.
I went in to the Bury branch and explain to the advisor and she said “You will have to ask someone else, I’m on lunch and I’m not working through they can think again”.
I was a little shocked as i had never meet the girl and there was only me and my 3 year old stood there! She could have only been talking to us and it was far too loud for it to an under-the-breath comment to herself. I found the manager and asked her about the trainers, she replied that she’s get someone for me. I felt like i was been passed from pillar to post and we left the shop without the trainers and i have never brought anything from their since. My husband and son both play football and that’s where we would normally purchase their equipment from on a regular basis, but now we go else where.

Looks like she had no work ethic or respect whatsoever for the company she's working for - she shouldn't be there if that's her attitude!

i hate it when you go into a store and get followed by the store adviser i felt ashamed like i had done something bad and just walked out of the store

I agree with you coleen, i feel pressured in most shops especially 'phones4u' as you see about 10 people rushing over to you so i just turn and walk out. I know they are paid commission but they lose more customers by being pushy or having a bad attitude.
I think its very out of order how jjb treated kelly aswel, i know how that feels and it puts you off wanting to buy anything or shopping there again

As you get older, or I have gotten older I am more confident in the shops, I wont be bullied into buying from a pushy sales person.
I complain more now and when I have had a shop assistant been so helpful, I have passed my comments on to the company of the individual.

I regulary order from body shop on line they state standard postage 3-5 working days, I always received my goods much sooner than that and they are well packaged, I would recommend them to everyone for a good shopping experience.

Good: Interflora. Didn’t even had to create login name and password to order flowers on-line – rarity in today’s world and great for busy people. All was delivered within two hours and they called me to report how my friend reacted to her surprise birthday present. Would definitely recommend them to everyone.
Bad: Wizzair. They’ve changed DATES of our flights to Belgrade without informing us! I cannot imagine what would happen if I went to the airport with my little boy and learnt that our flight is not on the date we booked.
Someone warned me that they have small print where they say that they can change flight details up to 3 HOURS before the flight. Hope that’s not true.

jjb make you wait ages before serving you the tills always seem empty,
i bought a football shirt and wanted a name putting on the back they took my money and then i had to wait for the manager to stop talking to an area manger before they put the name on for me i must have waited 40 minutes the cashier kept apologising but it was not there fault i had to wait, if managers act like this it is not a good example to the give staff. he knew i was waiting and didn't even seem bothered.

Good - Asda
I went shopping for some ale for my hubby & neighbour as the offers they have are good so they split the price. The ale I bought was on offer but wasn't until I got home and looked at the receipt and realized it wasn't I went back to Asda to explain I'd been charged wrong. The lady took me back to the shelf to show the tag. I explained it was high in the corner hidden by other shelf promos. The lady on customer service refunded me my money and told me to keep the ale. Thanks Asda
Bad - In a pub having a meal, asked for my steak to be cremated, they fetched it the same time as my hubby's (his med rare) I asked for it to be cooked longer, they took it away cooked it some more but brought it back on plate with my then cold chips. Not nice

you seem to tar teenagers with the same brush. I worked as a sales assistant for Woolworths for three years I started when I was sixteen straight out of school to earn money while I was a college. I can assure you that neither I or the rest of my teenage colleagues were surly. The fact that the person who was rude to you is nothing to do with the fact that they are young, they are just rude end of.

Bad - Nando's
I don't know if it was just a bad experience as all the other times I have been it has been great.
I went to Nando's with my partner and a friend my partner ordered a lemon and herb 1/2 chicken. We waited over an hour for the food and when it came it was spicy so I asked them to change it they just took it away and I think they put the correct sauce over the spicy sauce.
I was discusted with them and the staff just seemed to be running round like headless chickens. it was a total waste of time and money.

I thought I'd post a good experience I had at JJB as they seem to be getting a bit of bad press!
I recently went in to my local JJB to get a football to on it's release day for my partner - I knew because of the size I needed that I probably wouldn't get it in our small local store but tried anyway.
When I went in I was greeted by a friendly member staff, who was young and to me appeared to be a teenager!
I went to the football shirts and another young member of staff saw me looking through them and came over to see if I needed help. I explained what I was looking for and she went and checked if they had the stock on the computer. They didn't, but she then went and checked the stock room as the new stock had not all been processed and was therefore not on computer. When she still couldn't find it, they checked nearby stores for me and advised where I could get one.
The staff were very polite and friendly. They did everything they could to help me.
And they were all young... :)
